This home was great for the 6 of us visiting Tahoe from NJ. It was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and there were beach/pool towels. The community pool and jacuzzi were perfect after a day at the lake and seeing the sights. We would recommend this property to anyone.

We had a great stay at 218 - this was mainly due to its location to Tahoe City, access to the community pool, tennis courts and kids play area. It was so peaceful there and we loved nothing more than sitting on the deck from early morning through to the evenings. The accommodation is good size and all bedrooms are fair in their size. There is an endless supply of towels, linens and bedding. The beds are also super comfy - however the bunk bed needs a good dose of WD40 to ease the squeaking at every toss and turn. What made it super easy for us as a family, with a five year old was the use of the endless pool and beach toys, beach chairs, an umbrella and a trolley to cart everything! There was even a den under the stairs which provided much entertainment for our little one. The place comes well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pans, chopping boards, a kettle (a necessity for us Brit's) and a decent coffee machine and WiFi that works, well. Also provided are an array of herbs and spices, ice packs in the freezer, cling film, dishwasher tablets, washing detergent and loads of other useful things that you need in a self catering holiday that you don't want to schlep thousands of miles from home. My ultimate fave was the use of the washing machine and tumble drier which helped us keep on top of the washing. The deck is a little slice of heaven - looking onto a lovely little wildflower garden. I loved nothing more than sitting out in the early morning with a cuppa and a good book. It also comes with a BBQ (the gas is really easy to replace if empty - just head up to Safeway). We cooked most nights on that because it was so easy to use and clean. We felt really safe - having keyless entry was great. The risk of losing any keys was significantly reduced and stress free for me, as my husband loses EVERYTHING! So I guarded the lanyard that gives access to the pool, with my life! Bears are real here, no joke Brits. I saw two...one sashayed past the deck early one evening and the next I saw whilst out running. I never went on another after that! There is a Safeway and a CVS five min drive up the road and has everything you need. Tahoe city just beyond that with a lovely little beach (with grass for those who hate the sand) and a great shaded play ground for the kids. Tahoe city has a great sense of community and we would go back there in a heart beat. We had such a great 10 days - there are just a couple of things that would make this place a five out of five... I would suggest that the carpets need a good steam clean and the shower in the master room needs replacing. Jon was a super host and very quick to respond to my one query throughout the whole stay. The pre communication is thorough and covered so much that I didn't have to ask any ancillary questions. 10 days that will stay with us forever. Many thanks to Jon and his family.

this Property worked for us. Improvements needed: The carpeting upstairs was stained and looked dirty. The bathrooms need to be stocked with bath towels, hand towels, washcloths and bath mats. Master bedroom needs hooks for hanging up clothes, there?s nothing to support that. We enjoyed our stay, thanks!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The beds were very comfortable. The condo is stocked with all the comforts of home. It?s a short walk to a nice shore. There was a folding wagon for us to pull the kids in. The condo has beach chairs, kid beach toys, and a nice beach umbrella as well as beach towels. All very nice to borrow! Tahoe City is super cute with great restaurants. We will come back!

Great location near the lake, close but not too close to the stores, restaurants, action and traffic in Tahoe City. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our 6 adults. Our only minimally-negative comment was that the coffee pot was way too small, and we couldn't tell when it was done brewing. Be sure to hike up to Eagle Lake and visit Emerald Bay area for hikes. We also recommend Sand Harbor kayak rentals / tour. All in all, a great place to stay!!!! Thanks to the hosts!

The property was just as we expected. Had all the "extras" one might need (towels, full spice cabinet, pots/pans, etc.). Jon was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. The upstairs can get a little toasty, so definitely take the advice of the property instructions to keep the thermostat low. We enjoyed laying by the pool in the morning and using the house as a home base for all the beautiful activities Tahoe has to offer. I'd stay here again.

This place was cozy, conveniently located near the skiing resort at Squaw Valley and the town. My kids loved the room with the bunk bed and little play nook under the stairs. The master bedroom was very relaxing. The kitchen island was perfect for morning breakfast. First thing my kids said when they woke up was ?I love this hotel.? Actually the place is better than a hotel because we could bring our own food and cook whenever we want. The place was clean. It was very convenient that parking was right up to the kitchen window and front door. Convenient, especially if unloading luggages and ski gears. It is very nice that the place has 3 bathrooms. There were some minor things that would have been nice to make this place perfect: 1.) I had only 1 clean kitchen towel when we got there. 2.) the coffee maker make lukewarm coffee for some reason. 3.) there was no broom or vacuum cleaner available; 4.) the bbq grill needed some cleaning or can cause grease fire in the back patio. Other than those small items, my family would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay here. The townhouse is ideally located near Tahoe City. The home is immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-supplied with any equipment, spices, etc you could ask for. The living room & bedrooms are so comfortable after a day of playing in the snow. The hot tub is right around the corner from the home- a huge bonus in the cold weather! This is a wonderful home for kids- there's a great childrens nook right under the staircase that our kids loved playing in (it was a great surprise that the kids loved!) and the bunkbed in one of the rooms was super comfortable for our kids. They also had childrens plates, cups, & silverware- a well-appreciated touch for anyone travelling with young kids. Jon was a great host- sending clear instructions for the home, and was incredibly responsive throughout our stay. We were here during a major snowstorm, and the property was quick to do snow removal, making it easy to get in and out of the property. We've stayed at many properties in the Dollar Point area and this was by far one of the best! We would absolutely stay again, and would love to see the property in the summer as well!

The Lake Forest Condo is absolutely wonderful! It is very clean, beautifully decorated, with many thoughtful touches. We stayed here with our three sons and my husband's parents, and it fit us just right. We enjoyed the modern decor and thoughtful amenities- for example the organized information book, speakers and entertainment in the living room, all the kitchen appliances, nightlights in the kid's room, the little reading/playing nook for the kids under the stairs, etc. Our kids didn't ever want to leave! The condo was so enjoyable that we decided to cancel one of our dinners out and instead bake Christmas cookies, play the games they had and enjoy dinner in the dining nook.
All three of the bathrooms were nice and modern with plenty of hot water and linens. All of the beds were very comfortable.
The condominium complex was cute, quiet and only minutes from Tahoe City- a great location. We hope one day to return in summer so that we can enjoy the pool and beach access!
We highly recommend this property! And thank you Jon and Leanna for sharing your beautiful home!

We had a lovely stay at this fantastic house! Excellent location - 5 minute drive to Tahoe City and 10 minute walk to a great local beach, Lake Forest Beach. We loved that the house had plenty of beach towels and a cart so that we could load up our stuff. The walk to the lake was down a cute little street and Lake Forest Beach has picnic tables and a little stretch of beach that was perfect for our family and not too crowded during Labor Day weekend. We loved the pools in the property and there is also a playground too. The townhouse is in an excellent location within the complex - close to the pool and playground but far enough to offer quiet and some privacy. The furnishings are stylish and the beds were pretty comfortable. Jon is super responsive too. Perhaps the one negative is that the furnace is upstairs next to the queen bedroom and it and the vents are loud at night and woke us up. We turned the heat down since we didn't need it anyways so noise wasn't an issue after the first night. We split this house with another family and their 2 kids which made this an excellent value. Highly recommend renting this place during the summer - the amenities and location cannot be beat!

We leveraged the beach supplies ALOT - the bath towels, chairs, umbrella, and we really enjoyed the whole house. It got a little hot in the evenings in the bedrooms upstairs, but we made the best of it with the ceiling fans and additional fans that Jon had in the house. Overall, everything was exactly as described in the listing and suited all of our vacation needs - cooking, relaxing, going to the Lake, going to the pool, all of it. Thanks for a great stay!
