• Nice place, nice location, poor management and upkeep

  This place is located in a nice location with great views of the Deshutes River. Nothing fancy, it’s your typical grey-washed investor-owned rental with little personality. It was fine for our family vacation.

  The communication was awful. While booking, the listing wasn’t clear about whether or not internet was provided. My message to the owner went completely unanswered. Upon arrival, none of the bedroom tvs could connect to the internet. I called the local contact and while she called me back a few hours later, she never followed up and the problem was never fixed.

  I would have taken all this in stride had I not gone back to the reviews and found that many others had been complaining about the exact same things. Poor communication, lack of internet connectivity, ceiling fans and lights and shutters that wouldn’t work. The listing says there’s a spa, and while there is one on the deck, it’s not operational, and what they meant was there’s a community spa.

  So many little things that added up to frustrations and the sense that the owners have zero interest in responding to customer feedback or keeping their property maintained.

  - We wish you had reached out to us during your stay. We would've been more than happy to make your stay more comfortable, however, we don't have any record of you contacting us.
  - We've confirmed that the pre-stay email was sent to you before your arrival, which included detailed instructions for guest communications during your stay.
  - We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs.
  - The listing does state that we offer free WIFI, but we’re sorry if this caught you off guard. There are two WIFI networks with the same name, one is 5G.
  - It also states in the listing headline that we offer a community hot tub. This is why the hot tub is only listed in the community amenities section of the listing.
  - While we want our guests to enjoy their stay here, we also expect them to respect our house rules and treat the property as their own. Unfortunately, multiple items were broken during this stay including damage to the doorknobs and blinds.
  - We have high standards of hospitality and prioritize every guest experience by doing all we can to accommodate guests. We're sorry that you felt our efforts were insufficient.
  - As you can see by our many great reviews, we are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and look forward to this property hosting many happy travelers!

  The unit was clean and comfortable, it was large enough for our family of four and our small children to run around. The view from the unit was gorgeous with an excellent location. Short walk to a community playground and hot tub. Short drive to many restaurants and activities.

  Our stay at this River Ridge condo was excellent. The property host was engaging and prompt, and the place was clean and comfortable. We; 've visited Mt Bachelor for 20+ years now, and we will keep this unit in our favorites. Thanks again for a great experience. : )
