• Perfect Family Vacation

  Our family of 16 stayed in both locations and loved the spaces to be together and alone! Easy to vacation and virtually work. The pond, game room and trails made it stay vacation! Close to shopping and rainy day trips. This was a true getaway!

• Great location if you like private experience

  My husband and I travelled with 3 boys (13, 10, 6) and elderly parent. The private lake was great for swimming and kayaking. There were nearby hiking trails and Extreme adventure course (almost right on property). The house couldn’t be better equipped. It is a great location for anyone that doesn’t care for the commercial bustle of Lake George and prefers a private getaway. Gorgeous views and calming environment.

• Excellent Chalet to Rent, Along With the Lodge, Providing Quiet Space For Some!

  We originally planned to only rent the Alderbrook Lodge for our family reunion, as it sleeps 18. But realizing that we would possibly have to share the outdoor spaces with other guests, we decided to splurge and include the Chalet in our reservation. What a great idea! Not only did we have the outdoor spaces to ourselves (please see my extensive review on the Alderbrook Lodge), but the Chalet was a place of respite for those in the family who needed a quiet space for naps and early bedtimes (ie. babies, toddlers, and their harried parents!) Although we personally did all of the cooking at the lodge, this certainly had all of the amenities had someone chosen to prepare food here. The 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths made it easy and comfortable. A nice hammock, separate fire pit with chairs, and a grill were all available. The family pictures on the walls of the chalet made you realize how much love and living had gone on at this property! Truly a blessing to share in the joy and create new memories for our family!

• Beautiful Chalet on the Lake

  We chose the Alderbrook Chalet for our family ski vacation. We were so pleased as we arrived to see such a beautiful setting. The Chalet and Lodge are down a long driveway in the woods on a lake that was frozen solid. Our kids enjoyed sledding down the hills and running around playing hockey on the lake. The Chalet is rustic, but with great charm. We had everything that we could need or want. All sheets, towels and toiletries were provided. We got about 6 inches of snow while we were there and there were groundskeepers to keep everything plowed and shoveled.

  We skied Gore Mountain which was about a 30 minute easy drive. Great ski conditions.

  We were there for the super bowl so it was important to my husband that we had the ability to watch the game. They have satellite tv and Jessica made sure to call the company to ensure that we would have access to the game. They have a beautiful big screen TV in the main living room.

  Lots of good eating options are close by in Bolton Landing. Maybe not even a 10 minute drive. Very convenient to grocery store and restaurants.

  Jessica and Geoff our hosts could not have been more responsive and accommodating. We had middle schoolers who needed to do some remote learning and Jessica helped to get us set up with enough internet bandwidth to support our needs. Jessica responded quickly with troubleshooting and even allowed us to use the Lodge as a temporary homeschool location. They were available at any time and answered all questions very quickly.

  We would definitely recommend the Alderbrook Chalet to those who want a quiet, beautiful rustic setting for their vacation. I am sure in the summer the lake is beautiful.

• Great getaway

  The house was a comfortable and engaging spot, ideal for a vacation that allows you to get it away from the frenzy of every day living, especially during these trying times. The view from the living room area, which had a porch , was absolutely beautiful. The pond right in front of the house , with a dock , was a wonderful spot for morning coffee, reading , andcwas la,rge enough for us to hold yoga classes together. Very relaxing home.
