  We enjoyed our stay here. The place was as described and is perfect for 2-3 people. It was clean when we arrived however it could use a fresh coat of paint. Many of the walls were marked up which makes the house appear not as clean. Several of the blinds are also damaged which, again, makes for a less-clean appearance. The WiFi was fast and Roku Smart TV is easy to use. The central A/C is controlled with a Nest thermostat and is also easy to use and cools the house well. Another review indicated the temp was controlled remotely but that’s not the case. The Nest does have an Eco mode though which will adjust the temp if the thermostat senses you’re not in the house. The bathrooms were good and clean and the water pressure in the shower was very good. Furniture in the house is very basic. There is limited space to put things in the bedrooms and no side tables or night stands to keep your phone or anything else on while you’re sleeping. It’s not a huge space and there is not stationary kitchen table, just a small folding table that’s tucked under the stairs. It’s a little cumbersome to take in and out and we just left it setup for the duration of our stay. Parking is fine for 1 car however getting in/out of the driveway could be tricky if you have a larger vehicle. The property is setup with a house in the front and a house in the back (this is the back rental). If the other tenant is in one parking spot getting in/out of the other one could be a hassle depending on how they’re parked. If you bring more than one car, there is street parking but it’s limited and it could be difficult to find a spot. Also, as mentioned in the listing the patio is shared with the tenants in the other house. We didn’t use the patio area but the other tenants weren’t great about keeping it clean. At one point they knocked over a chair, used the BBQ and left dirty utensils out next to it and threw the grill cover on the ground and left it there in front of the recycling garbage cans. Not the fault of the rental company but just be aware you’re sharing space with other people. Also, the outdoor shower is attached to the front house and didn’t really feel accessible to us in the back house because you have to walk up the back stairs where other tenants could be coming and going. All-in-all, we’d stay here again and would recommend the property to others.

• pros and cons

  Cons: owner controls temperature remotely through google nest app, advertised as keyless entry but actually not true, you must carry around key, 2nd bedroom bed very small and very uncomfortable Pros: good water pressure in shower, spacious kitchen area and nice patio, quite neighborhood well off of the boardwalk and check in was 1 hour early. Overall, I would not stay there again.

  - We are sorry to hear that you had issues with the thermostat. We don't control the temperature during the guest's stay. While we are able to control the temperature of the home remotely, we can assure you that we would never attempt to adjust the temperatures for our guests as this would be unnecessary for us to do.
  
  - The size of the unit is stated in our listing, however, we are sorry if you may have missed this.
  
  - We have had many problems with the keyless entry so, to avoid inconvenience to the guest, we will now have keys available for them to use.
  
  - We are however happy to hear that you did enjoy some aspects of our home, which lets us know that we're on the right path!
