• The property is NOT a vacation rental, it is up for sale!

  A group of 7 hula dancers came to experience the magic of the island's annual hula festival in Hilo, so it was a very important event. This property was hard to find, impossible to enter and it was listed for sale! The property 'owners' did not answer or return our calls for assistance in gaining access into the property. When we called the number of the agent listing the sale of the house, she informed us it was NO LONGER a vacation rental; the water was turned off and it was on the market! All of this happened after a confirmation email from "DAVE" who supposedly owns the home and listed it as a vacation rental. I do NOT recommend this property; it is a fake ad and VRBO should remove it from their listings.

• Disaster

  Booked this place well in advance. Arrived and found a locked gate with no access. Local contact did not respond to phone or text or email. Evolve main office could do nothing to help. Wouldn't even offer to put us up in a hotel while we looked for accommodations at the last minute on a weekend where there were no rooms in town because of a regatta. If I could give this listing and this rental agency a negative score I would.

  We enjoyed staying at this house. It was beautiful and had all the amenities you could need. We would've loved central AC because it was REALLY hot in the house, but the portable AC and wall unit in the rooms were fine. We sat on the lanai and enjoyed the cool air outdoors as well.

  No issues with the property. Was as advertised plus some. The attention to detail was nice. A cooler and some kids toys and games were a nice little extra.

  I love the modern feel inside the house, super tech with all the lights and smart gadgets. Comfy beds, and we loved meeting Anthony.
