  Pros/Strengths: House was clean upon arrival. Floors were squeaky clean. We asked for all linens to be cleaned and they were for the most part. The furniture was also clean with no stains or odors. Bathrooms were clean. House is decorated nice. The landscaping and fence are newer than current pictures. We have a toddler. They did not have black out curtains, but they do have a room with no windows that is dark. In a convenient location with an abundance of food and stores close by (walking distance). About 1 hour from Disney and attractions. About 1.5 hours from Siesta Key and Tampa. Julia, the host, was quick to respond and address our needs.

  Cons/Weaknesses: The cons are fixable. After the first day the back bathroom had a mildew smell. It smells when you have the bath light/fan on. We left it on for a few hours (I thought it was coming from bath fan) and the whole house smelled like mildew when we got back. The back patio roof has squirrels nesting in it so we heard them moving around at night. A raccoon also showed up. Someone has been feeding the raccoon or it is going through trash. No one was attacked or hurt.

  Conclusion: My wife, son, mother, and myself enjoyed our overall stay. I would rate our stay at a 3.8 out of 5. Our rating would be higher if the cons didn’t occur. I would stay here again if we stayed in Lakeland, FL again and if the house cons were addressed.

  -On the day of your check-in, the septic tank was pumped earlier in the day, which may have been the source of the odor you experienced. We understand that this situation was unexpected, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We were not aware that the pumping process could leave behind a residual smell, but we're pleased to inform you that the odor has since dissipated.
  -The guests did inform us about the animal issues, which was the first we had heard of them. We promptly apologized. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
  -The guests did request several supplies that were initially in the home, and although they were used quickly, our Guest Contact promptly fulfilled these needs, ensuring a comfortable stay.

  Quiet, convenient, & well kept. Played golf at Huntington Hills course 2 days & Willowbrook course near Winter Haven the last day. Plenty of restaurants near by...enjoyed it very much.

• Softball outing

  This place is very clean. Lots of good places to eat. It was stated as 4 beds and there were only 3 so we had to use the couch. Julia said she would get that taken care of. Overall very nice!

• Exactly what I needed

  This house is very clean and very cute. Check in is super easy and communication was great. It’s in a very busy area so expect noise. However it was also very convenient. It’s very close to the hospital which is why I needed it. If you need a place to sleep and come back to it is perfect and the price was great. The washer and dryer are really convenient. I would have felt a little safer being alone with a simple window/door security system,(simply safe is very inexpensive)having first floor bedrooms. But that’s just a suggestion.
