Cute house, great views, clean, good location.
Overall, just ok. Water heater to have warm showers did not accommodate more than 1 shower before getting colder water temp for next person. Bed slept comfortably but windows were not able to be covered at night for privacy. Property needs updating in some ways and location was a bit farther away than I thought. Communication from owners and team was great.
Brad, thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. We truly value your feedback and are glad to hear that our communication met your expectations. However, we're sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay.
Regarding the water heater, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. While we have not had previous complaints, we understand the importance of a warm shower and will look into this matter. It's possible that the hot water supply was depleted due to the shower being used several times in succession, along with the simultaneous use of appliances such as the laundry machine or dishwasher. Hot water can indeed run out if there's a significant demand placed on it in a short period.
We're also sorry to hear that the lack of window coverings in the master bedroom caused discomfort. The design choice was made to highlight the stunning lake views and create a sense of openness.
As for the property's location and need for updates, we aim to provide a tranquil lake getaway that balances rustic charm with modern comforts. We'll take your comments into account as part of our ongoing efforts to improve and update our property.
We strive to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and we regret that some aspects of your stay did not fully meet your expectations.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you in the future with improvements that enhance your experience.
We spent a long new years weekend here with lots of hiking and exploring in parks in the area. The house was a perfect retreat after long days. The beds were comfy and we loved the big windows in the guest bedroom. Because it was cold we didn’t get to take advantage of the porch but it looked lovely. The neighborhood looks a bit sketchy but it was perfectly quiet and we had no complaints. Favorite hikes were the pinnacle mountain state park summit trail and the Lake Oachita state park caddo bend trail. And don’t miss a drive to the hickory mountain drive vista - stunning!

Such a serene place with a fantastic view. It's a hidden gem, off a road we missed a couple of times :) It's tranquil too with little boat traffic. The home is cozy and clean. The beds are super soft. Floor-to-ceiling curtainless windows in the master bedroom were great to wake up with and look out at the water. The master bathroom even lets you enjoy the lake view ;)The pier was my favorite spot to sit and enjoy nature with my coffee. So many decks to relax on. We saw geese, herons, and even deer on the far shoreside. Fish splash around and turtles swim by. The skies were clear to see the stars at night. Much needed refreshment for our family! We'll try and come back with the grandparents next fall!
