This place was even better than our expectations and the PERFECT place to stay after a long day of hiking. I would recommend this place to everyone and stay here again when going back for more hiking! Amazing neighborhood-we felt very safe. We immediately felt like we were at home when we walked in. Everything is beautiful and so well done. The directions were clear and easy to follow. We can't say enough great things about this place. This was a great location-pretty close to all kinds of hiking and outdoor activities. There is plenty to do and eat nearby. I would come here again when we go back for more hiking!

    Amazingly Beautiful

This guest house is absolutely beautiful. Its spacious and very comfortable. The owner is a professional decorator and it shows in every detail. I would be happy living here. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Excellent for taking a relaxing walk. There was a private area in the backyard to get some sun. Susan, the owner was responsive, considerate and very accommodating. She really wanted us to be happy, but also respectful of our privacy. I would highly recommend this home and will definitely be back.

    Not ready for guests

The hosts are not especially hospitable. All communication was done thru texts. Supplies were left on the doorstep when a knock on the door and an introduction would have been friendlier. The proximity of the rental unit Does not Keene top privacy as you can see directly into the owners home. The furnishings look nice but corners have been cut in regards to function. The cupboards are stocked with plastic tumblers and melamine plates. Cooking utensils are castoffs and include rancid basting brushes. There is an induction cooktop but only one tiny saucepan and two saute pans with no lids. All the dish cloths are sour as are the bath towels. There is no soundproofing against noise from the upstairs unit. It's quite off-putting to hear the bathroom and bedroom sounds of strangers. Interaction with the hosts felt awkward.

    Manager's Response:
Christine, the homeowner would like to share the following comments:

"Our unit is a brand new home and you were our first guest. We appreciate the feedback so we can learn and improve, especially after your stay in the home for 8 weeks. We are very responsive to feedback and desire that all of our tenants have a wonderful experience while visiting Southern Utah, so we would like to address all of your concerns. First, all communication was not done through text. We are very social owners, but do respect the privacy of our guests, so we assumed that texting would be preferred. After asking repeatedly (and, in person) if we could get anything additional for the home or assist in any way, we were told that you didn’t need anything. During the 8 weeks we never once had a knock on our door (or text) to indicate that there were any additional needs or concerns. Regardless, after a couple of weeks, supplies were still provided on the doorstep because we did not want to invade your space but wanted to ensure supplies were maintained for the longer-term stay. We're sorry you didn't like our choice of plastic tumblers and melamine plates, they were purchased to prevent accidental breakage or glass damage by tenants. We will consider replacing with glass going forward if this is deemed important to the tenants. Cooking utensils are not cast-offs, as most or all are new. However, we will inventory all utensils and determine if something needs to be upgraded or replaced. All small and major appliances are brand new. We will be adding larger cookware to the kitchen moving forward. All towels and dishcloths are brand new and we will purchase another new set of towels. We certainly apologize for any sound from the unit upstairs. Fortunately, most of the upstairs unit is located above the garage, however, the sound could penetrate the wood floor, so we can only apologize for any noise that an occasional upstairs tenant might have made. We also acknowledge the lack of some privacy to the owner's home and are in the process of completing the patio privacy partition. We wish that you had let us know of these concerns during your stay so that we would have had the opportunity to fix them and ensure that you had a comfortable stay. Despite all of our efforts, we're sorry that you did not enjoy your stay." Best, the Evolve Team
