    A Cabin getaway!

    Reviewed by: Tom C. on

Awesome property for privacy and trails. Kids enjoyed feel of the cabin and loft beds. Owner was prompt to reply and instructions was easy to checkout. Despite no cell service, the Internet wifi at cabin worked great and had no issues using our cellphones through wifi. satellite tv was great and fireplace kept us toasty during our below zero winter weather stay.

    Thanksgiving cabin

    Reviewed by: Michael W. on

We went to stay here for Thanksgiving. Well worth it! Excellent time, wonderful surroundings, cabin furnished like a home. The dogs loved the nature walks, and we loved the peacefulness of the area. Will definitely be going back during warmer weather yo take advantage of the fishing pond and the outdoors! Even in the colder weather, the fireplace kept us plenty warm, the kitchen had everything we needed for Thanksgiving dinner, and the satelite tv had all the football games that I could want! Highly recommend. Thank you Steve!

    The middle of nowhere!

We had an annual family get together with 3 brothers and 1 sister and the in-laws. We love me the location and the activities available with the equipment we brought. It was well stocked with plenty of the necessary items (except dish towels). We are probably coming back next year.

The cabin was very nice and clean. Just as pictured. Our kids really enjoyed the loft and the jacuzzi tub. Most of all it was great getting them outdoors hiking the trails and making s'mores over the fire pit. A very relaxing enjoyable weekend with the family!

We had a great stay. Only complaint is that our initial email said the owner would meet us there to give us a key. So we waited in the vehicle for an hour for the owner to arrive but he never did. However, the cabin was unlocked for us so we were able to go in. This was nobody's fault, it was just a lack of communication between us and the owner. I believe it was because we were receiving information from a 3rd party before our stay, rather than the owner himself. We still had a great time and will return in the future.

    Nice retreat

    Reviewed by: Bob R. on

The property is beautiful and the cabin we stayed in was great. This would be a good place to visit if you are looking to be somewhere remote and away from cell phones while still having a comfortable place to sleep. My only issue was that based on the description I didn't realize how remote the location was and so was unprepared for that. Also, the driveway once I got to the property is very rough with pretty sizable rocks used to cover the dirt road which would make me hesitate to drive a smaller car on. Otherwise it was a great stay.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. We had a group of 8 for New Year’s Eve and the night beforehand. We had 3 dogs with us that were comfortable in the area and loved the outdoors. The owner was very kind and stopped over to meet us. He even brought us some cake! Lots of good hiking areas close by as well.

Nice and quiet. The cabin is good, the property is great!

The property is great the trails and the lake are absolutely wonderful! The cabin is rustic yet modern at the same time! The accommodations I would rate an 8 out of 10. You need to watch carefully for the signage, and be prepared to drive down a few miles of gravel roads! But once you drive in it's breathtaking! Make sure you have a steady rapport with the landlord. Cell phone reception is non-existent. So therefore we could not communicate. Also a face-to-face with the landlord would have been nice as well. A few little quirks but you're not staying in downtown Manhattan! Is the perfect place for a Family Getaway lots of room to roam!
