  Over all this cabin was a joy. We rent a cabin in the area two or three times a year (usually the same one) and know the area well. This cabin is well situated with the open woods and trail in the back yard. The cabin is clean, new and well worth renting.

  Our stay here was fantastic! Cute little cabin with wood burning stove made it comfy cozy for our stay! The place was left in nice condition with all the amenities you need. We really enjoyed our stay and ringing in the new year in this cute place. I would recommend is replacing the mattress in the upstairs bedroom. It isn't the most comfortable mattress as you roll to the middle. It is in need of replacing. The owner was very responsive with questions I had by texting. The rental is about 30 minutes outside of the main town. I wish the owner would have a book for people to share their experiences about their stay as well. Overall a great place to take your small family! I would recommend and stay here again.

  I was dissatisfied that the master bedroom's toilet was dirty, the mattress was horrible, I could feel every spring and was hard to get out of. The carpet was dirty. All the chairs outside were dirty or had standing water on them. The DVD player had wires to connect to TV with different colors but no instructions on how they connected. Overall it was ok, but being a host myself, I would make sure it was up to luxurious standards. For the price I wouldn't rent it again.

  Hi Roger, we're sorry that this property did not exceed your expectations. We passed your feedback onto the homeowner, who would like to share the following:
  - All bathrooms are always thoroughly cleaned before each stay, and we can assure you that the upstairs toilet is not dirty. There are some light stains from the hard water that will not come out even with scrubbing.
  - Mattress taste is subjective, and most guests enjoy the beds, but we are sorry if you were not completely comfortable.
  - The carpet was professionally cleaned a couple of months ago, and we are not aware of any recent stains.
  - We keep the outside chairs as clean as possible, but Leavenworth is very rainy, so they can collect water.
  - We apologize if a previous renter disconnected the DVD player. We would have been happy to help get it working again had we known that was an issue.
  We recently hired a new, meticulous housekeeper, and we are confident that future guests will find our home clean and comfortable.

• Communication is non-existent

  Cabin was adequate...bedding was definitely not fresh. The comforters and pillows in the master bedroom had not been washed in a while. My biggest complaint is lack of communication with the property manager/owner. There was no response to email, text, or phone call. Voicemail box is full, so I couldn't even leave a message. If something goes wrong while you're there, you will be on your own.

  Hi Marcie, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following: 1) The owner makes cleanliness and sanitization top priorities, especially during Covid, and every precaution is taken for guest safety. The cleaners dedicate extra time to ensure all areas of the cabin are clean for arriving travelers, which includes cleaning the linens after each departure. 2) When you arrived at the cabin two hours early, the cleaners were still cleaning and sanitizing for your group to have a clean and comfortable stay. We clearly outline the check-in time in our pre-stay instructions, so we feel it's unfair to criticize our cleaners for a group arriving early and being upset that the cleaning crew was in the process of cleaning and sanitizing between guest stays. 3) Evolve, as well as the local contact, did not receive any communication from your group. Had either received a communication, they would have been happy to help with any issues during your stay. The owner always strives to go above and beyond to provide a positive experience for their guests, and we are confident this cabin will continue to host many happy travelers!

• Perfect birthday weekend

  We rented the cabin for my daughter's 9th birthday. All she wanted for her birthday was to play in the snow, and her wish was granted. She loved sledding in the neighborhood, and building a snowman in the front yard, and we went snowmobiling nearby as well! Lots of fun! It was a clean and cozy (but not small) cabin - just the right size for our family of 5. The Christmas tree and lighted staircase were welcome additions. My daughter loved the giant stuffed animals and western theme, and the loft and big main room were perfect for our family's birthday celebration!
