This was a perfect place to spend New Years Eve with a few close friends. A gorgeous view from main living area/kitchen. Very clean and accommodating. We enjoyed using the fireplace as it was quite cold outside. Was a little tricky getting up the driveway with some snow and ice on roads, but made it work and was relieved to cozy up in the place for a few days. Great launching spot for lots of great hikes or for a day trip to Asheville of which we did both. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in Burnsville! Lots of places to eat, enjoyed Saturday shopping in Burnsville, and Sunday exploring Asheville and the Biltmore. The house was very comfortable and clean and had a beautiful view. Perfect for two couples or a small family. Enjoyed our stay!

We arrived in the area after sunset, so were a little nervous about finding our way up the mountain roads and making the climb. We were very pleased with the appearance of the house and the furnishings. We were even more impressed the next morning with the view, the privacy and enjoyed hiking further up the mountain. We, got down to Burnsville for the crafts sale around the square. It was interesting to learn about the connection of Burnsville to our coastal Onslow County. Anyway, it felt good to get to the cool dry mountains and get a break from the heat and humidity in Jacksonville, N.C.

4 stars are mainly for the porch, the beautiful view, and the central air conditioning. The interior and beds were acceptable and clean. TV reception was good. The kitchen equipment and cooking utensils were limited. All groceries had to be stored on the counter tops and windowsills because the few cabinets were full.
We think a property of this type should include free wi-fi instead of having a charge for it. And it would be really nice to have a gas grill.
All in all, though, we enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely location, not too far from Burnsville and other attractions in the area. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this rental.
The home had all the comfort that you can imagine that you may have in your own home. The view from the house porche , honestly was like looking paradise.Bird watching all kind of birds .The owner is so thoughtful and have wonderful immediate response to any question or concern. My kids didn't want to leave we really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful vacation home.We definitely will be back.
