The casita was a great place for us to spend a week in the mountains. Very clean and cozy. It's a somewhat secluded, quiet, and relaxing place to stay buy still convenient to activities in the area.

My wife and I vacation in Ruidoso several times a year. This was our first stay at this particular rental and I must say, it was great. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. We would recommend this casita over and over!

It was a good stay overall, apartment is comfortable and well equipped. Located in a nice quiet area. There were a couple of small inconveniences but were resolved quickly. First, the key pad of the entrance door did not work upon arrival so we were provided with an actual key to use during the stay and second a breaker was blown probably because of an overload of the electrical circuit so we were without power for about half hour. Response from administrator was pretty efficient.

    Awful Rest

    Reviewed by: eric w. on

The place was really cute in a tucked away area of town. However, when we arrived the smell of gas was overwhelming, most likely coming from the fireplace. About 2 hours after check in, the problem was finally taken care of by turning off the gas to the fireplace (never was able to use). But the worst problem of all was the bed. It was probably the worst sleep we ever got during a vacation. The bed, and the frame for that matter, had to very old. Frame squeaked every time we moved and the bed was very uncomfortable. The heater over the bed wasn't placed well either as it blew on our faces all night long. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place for a visit. Definitely disappointed.

Manager's Response: Hi Eric, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay fell short of expectations! Due to strong winds the night before, the pilot light for the fireplace had blown out. While the homeowner was able to get his local maintenance contact to take a look that day, he was unable to find a specialist to confirm and resolve the issue until after the holiday weekend. The homeowner would like to convey his apologies that you were not able to enjoy the fireplace during your trip, and that this negatively impacted your entire stay at his home. The mattress is new, but the homeowner tightened the bed frame to ensure that future guests are as comfortable as possible. Thank you again for letting us know about stay, and we hope to assist you again in booking a vacation rental that will exceed your expectations! Best, the Evolve Team

This is one of the best places I've stayed in the Ruidoso / Alto area! I've lived in Ruidoso, worked there for years and of course vacationed there for over 30 years. This little studio cabin is perfect for two people and location is awesome. We got to see a BULL ELK rubbing the velvet off his antlers...from 30ft. away! I'll sure enough be back!

    Outstanding casita

Beautiful location surrounded by million dollar homes, it a few hundred feet from a golf course. The high vaulted ceilings, fireplace and huge bathroom are extra nice. The casita is a little more than 500 sq ft Full directv package with Amazon Alexa to play all your music. Comfortable bed, couch is bigger than the picture shows, big closet in the bathroom for all your clothes. This casita is better than the pictures portray. We loved our stay in late Aug, we will be back
