  First let me say that the house was very nice and nicely appointed. My issue was with the property listed as “one block from the beach”. Which, was accurate but didn’t take into account that the boardwalk/beach was 1/2 mile from the water. To give you an idea, there are spot-a-pots located halfway between the boardwalk and the water. They even offer beach taxi’s to haul your things, otherwise you will have to drag them through the sand. Had I known this in advance I never would have rented this property. Wildwood is also not the most desireable neighborhood. Stone Harbor to the North and Cape May to the South are where you want to be. I thought this house was overpriced for what it had to offer. IMO

• It’s Just OK

  First of all the house is very nice and well appointed. My 3 star rating is due to the house location. Wildwood is not the most desirable beach area. Although the house is a short distance to the boardwalk, the beach is about a 1/2 mile away.. from the boardwalk. The city didn’t even lay a path to the beach. You have to drag your things thru the sand or pay for a beach “taxi”. You can barely see the beach from the boardwalk. Also, the house does have a small balcony but it faces a noisy road and there is no view. Stone Harbor to the North or Cape May to the South are much better options. Restaurants were up and down; some good, some not. Please do your home work before coming to Wildwood.

  - We understand that the distance to the beach can be a bit of a stretch, especially when carrying beach accessories. Unfortunately, this is a factor beyond our control. However, our guests do have access to a beach buggy on the premises, which is available to make carting items back and forth to the beach easier and more convenient.
  - We strive to provide an accurate reflection of our home and its location in our listing. While we do our best to ensure our guests have a clear understanding of what to expect, we also encourage them to research the area to ensure it suits their preferences and needs.
  - Our property is located at the quieter end of Wildwood, away from the noise generated by nearby attractions. However, our balcony, which is located on the second floor and faces the street, is subject to street noise when utilizing it. We are sorry this impacted your visit.
