  The view is breathtaking, the apartment is quite and comfortable. We travelled with our children and the apartment was comfortable for our family, kitchen is good for simple meal preparations, there is AC in the room but not in the living room which is not needed (just open the windows). Check in was rocky but the property manager was responsive, polite and addressed the issue really quick, just make sure to verify your booking directly with the property manager by phone a few days before your arrival so there are no surprises.

  I had the best time here. The condo is very nice, the location is superb and even more so in light of the sargasso situation in the Caribbean the last couple years. This unit is right on the edge of half moon bay. All the seaweed collects everywhere else but the water across here was clear and nice as ever. The owner and management and staff were great, the view is fantastic. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is it needs a little tlc to the window screens which allowed mosquitos to bother us a bit at night. However if 4.9 stars was possible I’d give that. I’d stay again!! Thanks Michael, Nan and the green eyes staff! Had such a great time

  1) The back bedroom window opens to a common stairwell, which was often noisy and echoey with other vacationers 2) the other back bedroom window opens to the neighbor's patio, which was often noisy 3) the front windows have a marvelous view, but the window frames rattle loudly with the wind 4) the lower window vents flap loudly with wind 5) inadequate clothing storage (no dresser, 3 hangers) 6) inadequate kitchen basics (pots with no lids, dull knives, one washcloth-sized kitchen towel) 7) received only one room key for 3 people 8) was not given key to safe 9) only 4 outside palapas (shade) for the entire condo building 10) one of the 2 pools was closed 11) no "beach" 12) no "town" We left after 3 nights. HomeAway was very responsive to the problems we encountered and contacted the owner to request a partial refund. The owner, however, refused.

  Tracie, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay at this condo didn't meet your expectations. We have shared your comments with the homeowner who provided insight on your stay. Regarding the safe key, the safes are hotel safes with combinations that are programmable by the guest so a key is unnecessary. It's not common to give out keys to guests, however, the local manager gave it to you. We are unable to influence noise from other travelers in the condo unit as it is child-friendly. That being said, this is a very quiet complex but occasionally there is noise from other travelers. This condo is ocean front and on the 3rd floor and when there is high wind sometimes the windows rattle but the vast majority of the time they do not. The kitchen is adequately equipped, and if there was something missing, the local manager would have been glad to assist. Everything in the condo was as represented and it is an extremely nice unit. We encourage guests to reach out while in residence so we have the opportunity to make things right. We regret that we were unable to come to an agreeable solution as the local contact tried their best to ensure you were satisfied. The homeowner and local manager work diligently to ensure all guests have the optimal experience, and we are confident future guests will love staying here! Best, the Evolve Team

• Nice area in Akumal

  We really enjoyed our stay in Akumal, the apartment was clean and the view was to die for,. The only thing is the bedroom communicates with the next apartment trough a window and another window that comunicantes to the public stairs that we had to keep both open because there is no AC, which we really did not need, The problem was the noise, we had a family of 5 with 3 kids next door for the first 3 days and a family with 4 small kinds the rest of our 5 days vacation knowing that we stayed there, they were playing very loud, screaming as early as 6am., slamming doors and running around without control all if like they were inside our apartment because of those windows... That?s the only problem that bothered us, The rest was all nice, clean lady did a really good job every day, the little beach at front was nice and the snorkeling right outside was the best. I will recommend everyone to visit La Iguana apartment #8,
