    An unforgettable retreat awaits you at this historic 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom vacation rental apartment which comfortably sleeps 8 in Laramie. Nestled in what used to be a hotel for the Union Pacific Railroad, this second-floor apartment has been painstakingly restored for your optimum enjoyment. Enjoy spectacular views of the last Union Pacific foot bridge over the railroad tracks from the spacious deck or stroll right into historic downtown for a memorable experience!

    THE PROPERTY

    This unique, 1,500-square-foot loft apartment is one-of-a-kind in historic downtown Laramie. Built in the late 1800’s, this building was originally a hotel for the Union Pacific Railroad. It was situated above a ‘Hested’s’ variety store, which later became ‘Gambles Mercantile.’ In 2012, the hotel was converted into an office and 2 high-end apartments, one of which is this property!

    Painstakingly restored, this apartment features high ceilings, original doors, original wood floors, and 5 skylights.

    With radiant floor heat in both bathrooms, a gas fireplace in the great room and hot water cast iron radiant heat registers in all the rooms with independent thermostats, you’re sure to be warm in the colder months.

    Stay cool during the summertime with the air conditioning, or step out onto the 400-square-foot west-facing deck that overlooks historic downtown and the railroad tracks. Take in a sunset while cooking a meal on one of three open grill tables or the barbecue grill. Stroll over one of the last remaining Union Pacific foot bridge that connects downtown to West Laramie.

    Back inside the apartment, the kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, under cabinet lighting, solid surface countertops and a large kitchen island.

    At the end of each day, rinse off in one of the pristine bathrooms. One bathroom is complete with a clawfoot bathtub/shower combo, while the other is a half bath. Utilize the laundry room, equipped with high-efficiency stackable washer and dryer, so you don’t have to pack your whole wardrobe.

    Once you’re all cleaned up, call it a night and head to one of the inviting bedrooms. The master bedroom features a comfy king-sized bed with plaid comforter, while the other 2 bedrooms feature a queen-sized bed and king-sized bed with plaid comforters and are situated right across from each other, with a curtain divider to separate the two rooms for privacy.

    Located in the heart of historic downtown, this home is just steps away from 11 eating establishments, 8 bars and all the shopping you can handle without getting into your vehicle! The home is situated above the host, the Craftsman's Co-Op, ‘The Bent & Rusty,’ so help is never far away. The apartment is furnished with antiques from this one-of-a-kind store and are available for purchase - the perfect souvenir to remember your trip!

    From the home, the Snowy Range Ski Area is just 30 minutes away! The Snowy Range Mountains are host to some of the best snowmobiling in the US, making it the perfect spot to visit during the winter months. During the summertime, the mountains offer many scenic hiking trails for all skill levels.

    If you are visiting for University of Wyoming athletics, UW graduation or any other UW event, you will be just blocks away from all of the action! If you are here for graduation, this property is perfect to host the celebration, as there are several restaurants close by who could cater your event!

    Additionally, if you’re wanting to keep up your workout routine while on vacation, the rec center is right on the other end of town, and there is a free shuttle bus that will take you from the back door of the apartment to the rec center!

    We were in town for a wedding with our children ages 17 and 21. This apartment was a perfect place for us to stay for the 4 day weekend. The apartment was clean and well supplied with everything we needed for the weekend. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The deck was a wonderful place to visit during our morning coffee and evening night cap. We were able to walk to the church and reception hall from this location as well as to check out other downtown locations including the awesome Farmer's Market that was less than a block away. The owner was very friendly and provided us with great instructions. If we ever have the need to stay in Laramie again, this will certainly be the spot. Thank you!

    Comfortable, Well Furnished Apartment in Downtown

    This apartment had everything we needed for my husband and I and two adult children. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well furnished and stocked with the basics, and it was very clean. We loved the rustic feel of this refurbished apartment without sacrificing any modern conveniences. We enjoyed the back deck for our coffee in the morning and a nightcap in the evening. The apartment is walking distance to everything downtown including restaurants, a wide variety of shopping, local bars, and a great farmer's market in the park on Friday evening. The owner was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely consider staying here again if our travels should once again bring us to Laramie!

    Rustic, charming, comfortable. Loved having the washer and dryer, large rooms, amazing deck. Train traffic just added to the whole old town feel. Enjoyed watching the trains and big Wyoming sky from the deck. Fresh juice, strawberries, bagels and coffee creamers welcomed us. We took advantage of the 10% off from the bent and rusty. Billie checked to see how we were, very pleasant enjoyable stay.
