Everything was great here. I would recommend to anyone. We will be back

I, my girlfriend, and my friends stayed at this property as a last min get away. We were not disappointed, especially for such a rushed planning of our stay. This cabin was adorable, and even a tad bigger than we all expected. The hot tub was just what we needed after a long day of hiking. It is a steep, unpaved road and driveway up to the cabin and 4 wheel drive would be a good thing to have especially of it rains. Although we did make it up in a normal 4 door sedan. Everything ran smooth and there were no true issues with our stay. We like to cook A LOT of food and our definition of a fully stocked kitchen is a tad different but we made due, and is not a big deal what so ever. People with normal appetites will have all they need and more. Once you settle in it truly feels like home. Recommend this property 110% and we will be returning. Book with no regrets ya'll!

Awesome place with some killer hiking

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was very clean and the hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking. We enjoyed the campfire. The only reason I didn?t give 5 stars is that the beds were really hard and uncomfortable. A foam mattress topper would go a long way. But I?m a bit picky about this, for many it might be just fine. The loop around is about a mile and a half with gorgeous views. Will definitely return!

The cabin was remote (just what we were looking for to unplug from our busy lives). Cabin is very clean and comfortable. The only suggestion is new bed mattresses. But honestly well worth the money and many great memories were made :) Katy was amazing at answering question and making great local recommendations. The Daniel Boone Coffee Shop is a must. Great coffee and foods. Hiking trails are amazing. HAMBURG PAVILION is a nice shopping area too.

The first impression of the cabin was great. It was clean, all the bathrooms looked spotless, and everything was tidy. However, the first night we were there sitting in the living room watching a movie, a mouse came out of the fireplace. We all freaked out so we ended up scaring the mouse back into the fireplace, but we saw it again the next night as well. The mouse was there before we stayed and we made sure all our food was either in the fridge or sealed in a cupboard. The second night we were a little warm so we turned on the fans and it seemed like it hadn?t been dusted thoroughly in the cabin because it started raining dust balls filled with dog hair that was not from our own dog. It?s not a very good experience when you are trying to eat dinner at the table and clumps of dog hair are falling from the ceiling onto your plate. Everywhere else in the cabin seemed clean, but a good dusting is definitely overdue. The cabin itself was cozy and I loved the horse theme. The hot tub was really nice and you could tell it was maintained really well. The beds, however, were so uncomfortable we were starting to fight over who would sleep on the couches in the front room (until of course we remembered the mouse in the fireplace and just sucked it up on the beds). I woke up the next morning and was so stiff and sore after tossing and turning all night. I went with three other people so all complained about the beds as well. I never have trouble sleeping, so it was frustrating to pay money to stay in a cabin that had beds that were more uncomfortable than a motel room?s. I think it would have been perfect with a softer mattress or foam lining or even some more comfortable sheets. The management seemed well organized and eager to help or answer any questions. The check-in/out process was really smooth and it was easy to find the cabin based on their instructions. It was recommended to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle due to the gravel road, but honestly a front wheel drive could have been used easily. There were however a lot of rules. I understand needing rules in place to maintain the environment for the next guest, but I don?t want to pay this amount of money to have to clean the entire cabin before I leave (I know that they do this to maintain a clean environment but it really put a damper on the last day because it took us 45 minutes to strip beds, start laundry, clean dishes, wipe counter, etc). Overall, the cabin was a little less than what I was expecting.

Manager's Response: Hi Heather, We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the hot tub and the cabin's decor, and that you had such a positive experience with the management! We are sorry that cleanliness issues impacted your stay and that the mattresses were not to your taste. Local critters can make an appearance due to the cabin's remote location, and the homeowner regularly treats the property for a variety of pests. They would have been happy to provide additional assistance with the mouse had you reached out. The owner also regularly updates the linens and rotates the mattresses in the cabin, but they appreciate your feedback and are taking it into consideration. While the owner strives to provide a deluxe experience for guests, private vacation rentals have different standards than traditional hotels. We follow the industry standard by requesting that our guests complete a few small tasks as part of the checkout process, but we apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for letting us know about your stay, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon. Best, the Evolve Team
We thought the drive up was very exciting! We followed the driving tips and we made it up the hills with no problem (front wheel drive) ! We enjoyed our own cooking and went on our day hikes and then relaxed in the hot tub and sat by the fire and watched a movie! What more could you want! We even grilled one night! Weather did not permit a campfire (to soggy and muddy)! Loved the sounds of the frogs, water and birds!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is very quiet and peaceful! We weren't able to use the fire pit due to all of the rain, but were able to enjoy the hot tub in between rain showers. You definitely need a 4WD/AWD truck or SUV, or at least something with higher ground clearance. Even though the road isn't great, I still highly recommend booking a property here! We will definitely be back!

The Mane Stay cabin has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6 but it was just my wife and me for a long weekend. We had never been to the Red River Gorge area before so everything was new to us. The property and cabin were easy to find and well situated for the area. We found the cabin and the property to be neat, clean and well maintained. The cabin layout was well done, especially the living areas. Very comfortable. We've stayed in cabins at several different areas and found this to be one of our favorites. It was private but not totally isolated. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we'll be back. Highly recommended.
