Easy to check in. Keys were provided in a lock box hence no hassle on getting in, even if it's very late at night. It snowed quite a bit while we were there but there was a shovel provided and salt for the road. Beds were very comfy, kitchen well equipped. We cooked both our dinners there without any trouble. We had some issues with getting the WiFi and Apple TV to work. But it was not too much of a bother. Overall extremely cosy and strongly recommend it!

Thank you for a most pleasant stay. This cozy cabin was conveniently located to the ski hills and a very warm comfortable place to come back to relax in after a day of skiing. We enjoyed walking around the village of Government Camp, poking into little shops and eateries. A very good time. Thank you.

This cabin in Government Camp was perfect for our ski trip! The location is ideal in terms of convenience to ski resorts and after-skiing food/bars. The cabin is cozy, comfortable, great for cooking home-made meals, and relaxing after a day on the mountain. The fire place and hooks are awesome for drying ski clothes and the fire pit on the porch was a wonderful place to hang out. We couldn't have enjoyed it more and will definitely be back again next winter!

This is a lovely little cabin right in the heart of Govy. It was impeccably clean, the gas stove made it so cozy, and the beds were super comfortable. Our host was very responsive, and answered all of the questions we had about the area. Our little family had a wonderful weekend there, and would definitely return.

Comfy, cozy, clean - Great location!

We enjoyed our Christmas in 2017 at the cabin. The accommodations were great for 6 people as far as sleeping, but if you plan to hang out inside, be prepared for limited seating. We knew about the limited seating so we brought some blow up camping chairs with us. The living area, while cozy, only has 3 spots for people to sit. I would recommend the owner add in some more comfortable seating. Overall, the location was perfect, right in the middle of Government Camp, 10 minute walk from SkiBowl. Owner was awesome, responsive and the cabin was super clean and stocked to make meals. I recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a great spot in Government Camp.

This place worked out wonderfully! The location can't be beat for a few days of snowy adventure- steps away from the grocery, local coffee, and sleigh rides. My kids loved playing in the snow on the private back deck. Plus you're right up the hill from Snowbowl cosmic tubing! It's an older cabin but has been updated in many of the most essential ways for a comfortable stay, including very comfortable beds with warm bedding, great satellite TV options, and a ton of hooks for hanging wet snow gear. We loved it and would stay again.

    Great house, odd rules

    Reviewed by: Svetlana K. on

The house itself is great - easily fit us all. Very dated, but it had everything we needed. Government Camp is an adorable little town, great for exploring Mt. Hood. What really turned me off is that we changed the number of guests (still below occupancy limit) and when the landlord found out he freaked, made me go through Evolve Rentals to change this, and if I don't we'll be evicted and fined, no refund given. I couldn't just tell him while I had him on the phone, it had to go through official channels which took me about an hour since I kept getting put on hold. I had found this out because I called him 24 hours before arriving, as indicated on the agreement, to get the lockbox code. He did threaten me with the eviction, but wouold not give me the code, instead telling me he will text it the next day. I know they have their reasons, but it hsould not matter who I tell and when. I rent places a lot through VRBO, directly and through other agencies. I have never seen something like this and really turned me off to the place.

Had a great stay and Michael as the property manager is very personable and fun to work with! My husband and I felt very welcomed and taken care of. The cabin is very well equipped, has easy access to town, shops and restaurants. We had a bluebird day skiing at Meadows then went to the Taco Shoppe that eve, the great Govy store and saw Cliff and Judy, went to the Museum and Gift shop the next day. We hiked Tamanawas Falls on our way north on the way home. Spectacular weekend!
