The river is right outside and the view is magnificent. You can fish from the bank or sit and just enjoy nature. Planning to head back just as soon as we can.

We had an awesome week at Wildcat Cottage. Andrea met us when we arrived (later than we expected) and showed us around. Throughout the week she was available and helpful but not intrusive. She provided a welcome basket with all kinds of goodies. She gave us some recommendations on things we wanted to do. Can't think of anything she didn't provide to make our stay stress-free. NEXT TIME... we just need to take our clothes and stop for a few groceries.

    Great stay, perfect location

The cottage more than met our expectations and needs. We traveled with several young children and the cottage was equipped with plenty of games, movies, and toys to play with, not to mention other supplies. Literally the only thing we had to bring was clothes and food. The location could not be better, just upriver from Wildcat Shoals. Fishing was excellent with great wading opportunities immediately outside the cabin. The view across the river looking at the bluff CANNOT BE BEAT. Would highly recommend for families and fishermen.

    Best Cottage in Arkansas

    Reviewed by: Steven S. on

My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed everything about this little slice of heaven! The owner is precious and thinks of everything! If you forget something, I can almost guarantee she will have it in the cottage. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. The view is beautiful from the back porch, and we spent many hours watching birds, squirrels, fish, a lot of fishermen, and a bald eagle. At night we even saw a few raccoons! My husband and daughter fished off the bank several times during our trip and caught a few fish. They also took a guided fishing trip, and the guide picked them up and dropped them off right outside our cottage. We roasted marshmallows around the fire pit a few nights and fed nearby horses. The cottage is within walking distance of a boat launch, so if you are bringing a boat, you don't have to go far to launch! There is a lot of outdoor fun to be had in this area, even if you aren't a fisherman. This property is close to Bull Shoals Lake, where we rented jet skis and a ski boat. We also went to a nearby creek for the kids to wade around and play. If you are a bird watcher, this cottage is the place for you--so many beautiful birds! I highly recommend the Wildcat Cottage to anyone traveling to this area of Arkansas. It is perfectly equipped and has some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. The fishing and bird watching are first class, and the hospitality is unbeatable!

The Wildcat Cottage was perfect for our family of 3.... we had more than enough room! We loved spending time on the deck watching the river fog! And we loved the fire pit right by the water! She made all of us feel welcome - including golf cart rides, tour guiding, and perfect toys for our toddler! Definitely will return. Couldn?t have chosen a better place.
