    Great place

    Reviewed by: Joshua C. on

This house is beautiful. We went to meet up with friends for Thanksgiving, loved how close it was to Sprouts. It was cozy and perfect for us. The only thing we didn't love was the living area furniture, while cute and colorful, wasn't super comfy. If you're not trying to just lounge around on a holiday like we did, its probably great. Definitely would stay again!

    Convenient location, but...

Overall, a nice property. Has front & back patios so you have some shaded areas at all times of the day. Each bedroom had its own large bathroom which was nice. Good location & access to Sonoma Ranch & Las Alamedas areas, the mall, retaurants, etc. The unit was clean and well-stocked for the most part. Could have used some washcloths. Perhaps they were in the dryer which was stuffed with linens. They should have been put away by the cleaning staff. Would also be nice to have some wine glasses in the unit. Somewhat noisy to sleep in the back bedroom as there are several large dogs nearby that barked a lot at night. Next door neighbor feeds stray cats on the fence & containers fall into this unit's yard - so be aware of cat food in the yard at bottom of fence which lures lots of pidgeons also.

    Clean Pet Friendly house.

Nice house and pet friendly. The layout of the house was great very open. Only 1 TV and it's only set up with ROKU and you have to use whatever subscriptions you have. That was the only drawback because we did want to watch a football game. (Had to go somewhere else to watch it) House was very clean and in a mice area.

My family and I were hoping this place would be great based off its photos and it would've been if it were clean and greater care was taken to details. Before I get into the not so great stuff, I do want to start off by saying that the owners themselves were great. Communication prior to our arrival was quick, kind and professional. We had asked for a very early check in and they were able to accommodate that for us, which we greatly appreciated. Also, the home felt central to the shops and restaurants, which came in handy for grocery runs and little errands to Walgreens. Now on to the not so great stuff. The first day we got there, the house smelled terrible, it was stuffy and smelled like dog pee mixed with something else not good and it took a whole day to air out. I know dogs are allowed in the home, which was one of the driving points for us to stay here bc we brought our own fur baby, but I think better care to take care of any previous pets messes would've been nice. The floors were dirty with dust and cobwebs forming in almost every corner of the downstairs home. The kitchen and tables were also dirty with a lot of dust on them. I was extremely disappointed especially since I had my parents staying there with my husband and I. The last thing you want to do after a 12hr drive is clean, which is what we ended up doing so that we felt comfortable to put our stuff down. The house was organized, but it seemed as though the last time the house had been cleaned might have been months ago and that no one had come to clean prior to our arrival and bc it's so hot in NM we got that sticky type of dust that is hard to clean. I did make a call to the owner and I was very thankful that she was sympathetic to my disappointment to the situation and arranged for someone to come out and clean the house the next day. After the housekeeper left, the house did look and feel cleaner however we were later again disappointed to find that ALL of the kitchen utensils, pots, and serving dishes were sticky with dust caked on them as well when we getting ready to prepare dinner. The bathrooms were ok and we did have clean towels and bath mats.

    Manager's Response:
Cynthia, we're glad you appreciated the homeowners' hospitality, but we're sorry to hear about certain issues you encountered. We've shared your comments with the owners who would like to provide insight on your stay. We understand they permitted you to check-in 6 hours early, understanding the fact that the evaporative cooling system was being repaired that morning prior to the standard 3pm check-n time. Part of the repair included a clearing out of inside air which is part of its activation. The repair person spent time to explain this to you and we can confirm the odor was cleared prior to the standard check-in time. Even more, they responded immediately upon hearing of your concerns and had the home cleaned in less than 24 hours. If they were informed about the utensils, they would have cleaned those too. The owners went out of their way to make things right and we regret if any measures taken weren't satisfactory to you. We have every confidence this home will host satisfied guests moving forward.
