We had an amazing time! We enjoyed our meals out on the deck with an amazing view. This property is very quiet and peaceful. We loved that it wasn?t very far from silverwood.

Lovely place, gets very hot mid afternoon making food preparation space very hot and stuffy.

Thankful we brought umbrellas for the deck tables as we used them as pseudo window coverings for the 3 of 2 sliding glass doors hoping to bring the temperature down enough to cook food. BBQ was left on from previous renters making it unavailable to us, forcing us to use the stove, increasing the heat. Dog hair left on unvaccuumed furniture in the basement.

    Manager's Response:
Hi Cheryl, Thank you for letting us know about your stay. The homeowner would like to share the following:

"Hi Cheryl, thank you for being our guest. We are sorry to hear the home was too hot for your comfort level. The home does have central air conditioning, and there is an easy-adjust thermostat located on the main level of the home. The A/C is high efficiency and cools the entire home quickly on hot days. Our pre-trip orientation notes to guests that our property manager is on call 24/7 in case anything arises that is not perfect for you. We are very responsive and caring, but can't help if not notified. Our housekeeping service/property manager is one of the highest-ranked companies in Coeur d'Alene. They will be available on a moment's notice if you are unhappy with anything. Do keep that in mind for your next visit! Thank you again for being our guest."

Gene, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. The homeowner would like to share the following message:

"We appreciate your feedback on our property. Our property is listed as a nature retreat and is about 20 minutes from Coeur d'Alene. For nature enthusiasts, we offer the unique solitude of mountain living and are close to hiking trails, the National Forest, Wolf Lodge Bay Public launch, Blue Creek Bay waterfront park and launch, Coeur d'Alene River, and 4th of July Pass and Trails. We also have 40 acres with a 3/4 mile trail loop on the property. For city lovers, we're just outside the developed footprint of Coeur d'Alene. We take pride in offering what city homes can't offer for enjoying nature. We work very hard to clean and manicure our country property and our guest contact is available 24/7 to assist with any issues that may arise."

    Breathtaking Views

We loved our Memorial Day weekend at this cabin. The views were amazing and we had a great overall experience at this property. We received great guidance on getting to the property ahead of the trip, which was really appreciated since it is not easy to find. It is a bit of trip into Coeur D'Alene town (~25 minutes), but if you are looking for great mountain views and plenty of privacy, this is a great place. The house itself was excellent, especially the kitchen with ample cooking supplies. The view from the upstairs deck and kitchen/family room areas are what we will remember most.

Wow! This place is an absolute gem! We ditched Portland for Mother's Day weekend and headed to North Idaho. This place was just the ticket for reset and relaxation. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and BBQ, the view is worth a million bucks, the patios are perfect for relaxing and reading a book, it's close enough to town for even the citiest of slickers. We'll be back again and again!

We spent a wonderful week at Mountain Light. It was the perfect place for our family to unwind. The property is incredible with gorgeous views, wildlife and hiking trails! The home is very unique and was ideal for our family of 5. The property is the perfect distance from lake Coeur d'Alene and the downtown area. It was great that we had easy access to all the spoils of the area, but could return each evening to our private nature retreat! So quiet we slept like rocks. A few days of our trip we just stayed on the property, hiked, took pictures, lounged and relaxed. When we return to Coeur d'Alene, this is where we'll stay. Away from the bustle of the town in the peacefulness of the mountain light...
