Drive 12 minutes into the heart of romantic Asheville to discover world-class dining, fabulous shopping and an impressive live music scene. Another great recommendation is to cruise over to view the Biltmore Estate where you can rent bikes, tour the house, gardens and America's most visited vineyard, or meet the animals at the Farmyard.

Beer enthusiasts will be thrilled to know the region is also home to over 60 breweries, many of which are super family friendly and great for all ages! During the fall, there are many Autumn festivals, fabulous apple picking and world renown Fall Color Forecasts. The winter months offer downhill skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing as the Wolf Ridge Ski resort is just 40 miles away.

Only 5 minutes from the property is the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hit the road and take a scenic drive across rugged mountains and pastoral landscapes.   • Hidden Hideaway

    This was a great place for a girls' weekend. We truly enjoyed staying here, exploring the grounds and the Asheville area. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Lots of seating areas. Kitchen was well appointed and FINALLY a home rental that has the basics, salt, plastic wrap, pepper, olive oil, coffee filters. It's really a pain (and wasteful) to have to purchase these items each time you rent a home. Overall a great stay and I would definitely go back!

  • Amazing view and gorgeous house

    We loved our stay at the Stargazer Lodge! The view is so gorgeous and the house is beautiful on the inside. With the 5 bedrooms we had plenty of space for 8 people. One thing to note about the Master Studio is that it is detached from the house and it does not have a bathroom. Not a big deal if you want to leave the bedroom door unlocked that it is right across from the Master Studio (the one with the washer and dryer), but we weren't comfortable with leaving it unlocked. If you have to get up in the middle of the night to go the bathroom, you either have to knock on the locked door to get into the bedroom with the bathroom (we could not locate a key), or go around to the front door and use the code to get into the house. It would have been a waste to not use the Master Studio for that reason because it is a great bedroom with lots of privacy, big closets, king bed and a desk which is super handy for doing hair, makeup, etc... mirror provided.The fireplace is double sided so you can enjoy from the dining room, living room and den. We cooked in the kitchen and used the grill outside and had everything we needed. Also really loved the fire pit! Did I mention the view?? We took our Christmas card pictures in the backyard and the backdrop was unbelievable!

  • Fantastic Mountain Family Vacation

    Stargazer proved to be not only as advertised, but exceeded our expectations! What a beautiful property and stunning home! Our family get together of 8 adults and 3 small children had plenty of space to enjoy quality, cherished time together. The home was very clean, so comfortable and stocked pretty well for large groups. The tremendous outside space was perfect for all! The kids even set up a tent and some hammocks to hang out outside. The firepit and lookout deck were added pleasures. We brought along some outside games for all, and the sheltered outdoor spaces were great for our couple of rainy days. The stars did put on a beautiful show with added shooting stars! Our son is a photographer and got some great Milky Way shots up there. Sunrise was stunning over the mountains as well. We also had a blast exploring the beautiful surrounding areas including all the waterfall hikes in the state parks, as well as the path down to the stream right on the property. The property manager was very helpful with all our questions. Nice to know she was so accessible and local. We even spotted a small black bear climb up a tree in the woods behind the house! Only suggestions would be adding another coffee pot, more serving spoons, and large serving dishes/bowls. We certainly hope to visit again!
