what a awesome gem this place is, very quiet, extremely clean, all modern appliances, great view of Redwater lake, its a private lake so no water traffic, if you fish I had luck with night crawlers on bottom, didn't have any luck on lures or shiners, got some really nice catfish, bowfin and bream, owners were very nice and accommodating and there two dogs were very friendly, I highly recommend this place, Devin and Denise

Awesome stay for the weekend while visiting our daughter, who is a UF student. Very secluded and comfortable place overlooking Redwater Lake with a boathouse and lake access, including use of their kayaks and canoe. The proprietors live next door and could not be nicer or more helpful. Thanks Glyn and Julie for a wonderful time! We will be back!

Beautiful property, secluded area, apartment spacious and well laid out. Would definitely stay again. I will say it is a bit of a trek for a large grocery store/shopping or something to eat, but the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Bed is comfortable.

The information provided on the website was exactly as we found it. The place was spotlessly clean and decorated appropriately. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. The view of the lake was superb and The boathouse was extremely enjoyable and peaceful. Our host, Glenn, was the best as he showed us everything we needed to know for a pleasant stay.

This place was a beautiful getaway very quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for and then some. We had access too (and used) both the canoe and kayaks, went swimming in the lake and napped in the hammock in the screened in porch. The kitchen was well equipped all we needed was the food. The hosts were knowledgeable about the area. They do have 2 dogs that they were willing to keep away from us because they are bigger dogs but they are very friendly dogs. Inside the apartment was very clean and decorated with some interesting artifacts. We enjoyed it so much we are already planning to head back next year!

We just loved it. Glynn and Julie were so gracious and their pets Molly and Elvie were the sweetest dogs you’d ever want to meet. The view was picture perfect and the home itself was very nicely furnished, comfortable king size bed and decorated very tastefully! I’d go back in a minute, as a matter of fact we are already planning for next year! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful property in a serene lakefront setting. The downstairs unit is set in a way that the owners upstairs are not noticable. The home is clean, and nicely appointed with comfortable furniture. The also has a nicely appointed and spacious bath. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and everything necessary to prepare meals, including a high end gas grill enclosed in the giant screened porch. The porch also features a two person hammock, a couch, and three large rocking chairs. The family room has a large screen TV, DVD player, and Satellite TV. The bedroom has a comfortable King bed and dresser. Although I didn’t get around to using them, a canoe and kayak were available with paddles and safety gear. But the boathouse itself was one of my favorite spots. Two comfortable chairs on the outside dock, and several comfortable chairs, a couch, an equipped kitchenette and a lovely view in screened in comfort. For me, It’s hard to beat sitting back, with your favorite person next to you, on a cool fall night, on a quiet lakefront, watching the day fade into night. I’ll be revisiting this beautiful property to enjoy it again.

We stayed here over UF's homecoming weekend. The prices of the hotels in Gainesville were high and we had our two kids in tow so we opted to stay outside of town. What a great decision this was! Although we were a bit concerned about driving back and forth, it was worth it. It took us about 30 minutes each way. The apartment is very clean, spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. It's not too far off the beaten path but just enough to see so many stars in the night's sky. Wow! We enjoyed the view of the lake and the boathouse too. We hope that next time, we will have time to use the kayaks!

As the very first guest of this new Airbnb property, I am honored to be the first to say, WOW !!!! However, I know I won't be the last!!! The Lake: Location. Location. Location. This is a gem of a place tucked away on a big beautiful lake. The lake is private and accessed by residents only, so it is quiet. This property has a clean and well-maintained wooden dock with chairs. It has a screened-in boathouse on it as well. Inside the boathouse, there is a sink and a frig where you can grab a cold one while relaxing on futons and looking out over the lake. The lake is very clean so you can either jump off the dock for a swim or take the steps down from the dock to ease on in for a dip. We paddled their canoe across and around the lake. Life preservers are conveniently located in the boathouse. We saw Bald Eagles, Osprey, and Sandhill Cranes. We enjoyed the sunrise over the lake every morning while sitting out on the dock drinking our coffee. The abundance of flowering bushes spread throughout the landscaping brought many butterflies and even a few hummingbirds. Shoes are optional as your path down to the lake is a carpet of green grass. Live Oak and Cypress offer shade all around. The Apartment: This is a very clean, large, and beautifully-appointed space. The apartment is situated high and dry above the lake giving a spectacular view. It has everything you could want and need. The Living & Dining Rooms: The furniture and decor are tasteful and interesting. There is a large flat-screen TV in a comfortable living room with a competing view of the lake. You have a big sofa and two over-sized chairs each with ottomans on which to put your feet up and relax. A wide variety of DVDs were at our disposal. There is a lovely dining room where you can enjoy your meals while looking out on the lake. If you prefer, you can dine at the kitchen bar on bar stools. The Kitchen: When I say the kitchen is fully-equipped, I am not exaggerating. The major appliances are high-end and new. There are several smaller appliances at your disposal (toaster oven, Mr. Coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, blender, etc.) There are plenty of pots, pans, bowls - it has all the kitchen accoutrements you could want. There is even a Henckels knife block set, making food preparation even easier. The only thing you need to bring is the food itself. I love to cook and so I really enjoyed preparing our meals here. By the way, you can also see the lake from the kitchen. There is a screened-in porch out front with a hammock and gas grill from where I cooked our steaks while also looking out on the lake. Looking out on the lake never gets old!!! The Bed and Bathroom: The bedroom is big with a very comfortable king-sized bed...
