    This home was very clean and large. The hosts provided everything we expected and then some! Communication with our contact was a dream. Perfect distance to go explore New Orleans and then come back to peace and quiet and the smell of salt water in the air. Wifi was spotty which was actually a great thing for us, as it kept everyone off their phones and socializing. We spent the majority of the time on the amazing glassed in back deck, or on the dock fishing. This was a truly wonderful experience and I fully recommend this home! We will be back next time we are in NOLA!

    Oasis Away (but not too far) From Bourbon Street

    The property had more than enough space for our group of 9 guys. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the water views. We only needed to do one night on Bourbon Street so it wasn't too much of a hassle to get an Uber for the night. Slidell, LA is only 15 min away and has plenty of restaurants and bars. Would for sure recommend if you don't want to be right on top of the city.

    We had an amazing stay! The property is beautiful and well cared for. Our party stayed there to enjoy Mardi Gras, which is truly a unique experience. We wanted somewhere quiet to retreat to after a day at the parades, this was definitely the place to be. We would recommend this place to anyone interested. Easy check in and out, just a treat to stay there. Thank you to the owners.

    Not really setup for a fishing week/weekend. We had six, 2 really cozy bedrooms upstairs and 1 bed in a loft or "common" area.....bedrooms upstairs are just for sleeping....have to get dressed in the "common" bedroom so no room for wives or girlfriends up there. Master and big bedroom downstairs were giant...so the girls got dressed in there when the wife and I got up and started cooking breakfast. No setup for frying or grilling fish outside, kitchen has island with no vent so if you do that inside the camp smells like fried fish. The outside grill is smaller than the grill on my bay boat. Needs more attention to getting the cooking outside and more time spent out on the dock. Overall it was good, but not made for couples....only a "guys weekend" fishing: Don't forget to bring your grill and fish fryer for outside.

    Matt, we're sorry your stay wasn't what you expected. The homeowners would like to provide insight on their home for future guests. They do provide a gas grill, charcoal grill, and outdoor boiling/frying burner. They are located in the storage closet on the bottom floor, so perhaps they were missed during your visit. We encourage guests to reach out to the owners with any questions while they're at the home so they have the opportunity to address any questions or concerns so guests can fully enjoy their stay. There are two "smaller" bedrooms upstairs and the owners choose to furnish them with queen beds versus bunk beds because of feedback they received years ago from previous customers. This bedding configuration takes up more space but allows for more adult comfort. The owners prioritize the guest experience and we are confident future guests will love their stays.     Our experience was great! The owner was super accommodating and very sweet, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. To make it even better, upstairs actually has 3 separate bedrooms with double beds as opposed to being one big open room as shown in the pictures. Highly impressed and would definitely recommend it to others!
