    Secluded mountain getaway

    Comment:

My family from three different states converged here for a family weekend (8 of us altogether, including 2 small children) and it was terrific. The location is very remote and the drive to the property is gorgeous. Views are better than in the photographs--they do not quite capture the width of the landscape. The house is in great shape, very well maintained and quite comfortable. The kitchen in particular is much larger than it seems in the photographs. They are not kidding about needing 4WD to get up here--we made it up in a 2-wheel-drive RAV-4 but with any bit of ice or snow we would not have been able to get up. Fortunately, there is a 4WD vehicle available for use that makes it a breeze to go up and down the mountain. The only real downside to the property is that it is way out there so it's time-consuming to drive to go hiking or to go into Asheville. That being said, however, once you are here it's likely that you will not want to leave. Watching the fog settle on the valley below from the living room, rising up like smoke and then eventually enveloping the entire landscape in a shroud of fog, is particularly beautiful. Stargazing here at night was outstanding. Highly recommended!

    Excellent Family Mountain Getaway

We had 3 couples with 2 children under two and the house was perfect with plenty of room to spare to come back with more friends and family. As long as you don't mind a long windy road to get the drive way (which was beautiful this time of year), then you will love this home as it is perfectly located in the heart of the quiet mountains. The gravel drive way up (after the long windy road) is very steep, but the owners were perfectly accommodating providing a 4 wheel drive vehicle that allowed us to keep our cars safely at the base and take their car up and down the driveway as needed. Only suggestion I have for the owner is that the kitchen sink facet needs some water pressure adjusting, it sprays everywhere. Thank you for a wonderful weekend get away!

Beautiful, well kept property with a lot of options for entertainment within. Although it's a trek to get to the property, the view from the top of the mountain is absolutely beautiful. Property owners were very accommodating and responsive to needs.

This cabin was even more beautiful than pictured. It was so spacious, the beds very VERY comfortable, and the view from the balcony will take your breath away. Dan was very sweet and on-call whenever we needed him, which was SO appreciated. We will definitely be back.

This was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been! The photos do not even do it justice. Do be prepared for some winding country roads and a steep hill to get to the house though! The hosts provide a trailblazer for the hill though which is SO HELPFUL. And I can 100% say the drive is worth it! The house is gorgeous and the view is even better. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive to every need/question we had. I hope to book this rental again in the future! Thank you for an amazing stay!!

Everything from beginning to end was perfect on this trip. A few college friends and I decided to take an end of summer trip to reconnect and get away for a weekend. Booking this beautiful home was the cherry on top. The property manager Georgine was amazing from start to finish! She was very responsive to emails, very kind, and very accommodating. She answered all of my questions with no hesitation. But that?s just the beginning. The house itself is AMAZING! The decor is beautiful, everything is up to date and so well kept. We loved the garage turned game room and the hot tub, too. The best part is the view! The view was incredible. We ate dinner outside the first evening and watched the sunset. It was a really special moment bad among old friends. I could go on and on but I?ll stop here. Thank you so much for making this trip unforgettable! We?ll be back!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Georgine was in constant contact with us before and after our arrival and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The house is at the top of the hill and you will need AWD to climb up the road. The house has spectacular view to the blue ridge mountains and valley. House is very modern & spacious. Would highly recommend this property.

Our hosts Dan and Georgine were amazing and very helpful in getting us accommodated. The facilities were sparkling clean, the views were amazing and the privacy was perfect - which is all we asked for. Attention to details was spot on - we found everything we needed. Plenty of things to do in the house, or simply relaxing on the porch was more than enough to make you feel rejuvenated. We will definitely return and spread the word.
