A true jewel in the Rockies

I have stayed in this house in the past and stayed again recently after the recent remodel. OMG, what was a great vacation home is now simply amazing. The floor is wood now, the bathrooms are modern with new tile, fixtures and granite counter tops and the window coverings are all new. There is some new furnishings, new gaming systems, Sonos speaker systems and arcades. The new wall murals in the basement and the kids room are gorgeous and very high quality. The location of this home with 2 minutes of the lake and 5 minutes to downtown Estes and 10 minutes to the Rocky Mountain National Park is perfect. The panoramic views of the mountains are so relaxing.
    I highly recommend this home.

    Must see!!!

The property looks nice enough in the pictures however it is extremelydated. Carpet is rather gross looking, green from who knows which decade.Same for all the bathrooms. Kitchen light broken, broken tile in severalplaces and many light bulbs missing. Downstairs lights weren't working atall, couldn't use the room at night for anything but sleep. Yard could alsouse some tlc.

    Disappointed

The location was great, but disappointed in the property itself, when we arrived the grass was at least a foot long, ended up talking with a neighbor who was upset about this also, said it?s been like that for a long time, the inside did look like the pictures but very dated, carpet worn and dirty, had to push some windows to open and close them, also 3 bags of garbage were in the garage, I?m guessing from the previous renters, also the amenities for this property listed a high chair which we needed but wasn?t there, tried to contact Mark the property manager via phone and email and never heard back from him, 2 stars for the location, would not stay here again

    Manager's Response:
Marisa, thanks for submitting your feedback regarding this home. The homeowner would like to note that they are working diligently to address all maintenance issues. Additionally, they are planning to update the property soon. Because of the location of the rental in the mountains, phone reception can be spotty. The owner wishes you would have left a voicemail so that the property manager could have gotten back in contact with you quickly. As is evidenced by the many great reviews, these owners are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and we feel confident that future guests will be delighted. Best, the Evolve Team

We were disappointed in the home. I have never rented a place where I had to buy kitchen utensils to cook with our large family. Summer in the mountains should mean opening the windows & letting the great mountain air flow through the home but that was impossible - Most windows didn?t open! It was hot and uncomfortable sleeping. Our entire family & us left a day early. Very, very disappointing

    Manager's Response:
Charlotte, thank you for your review. This homeowner and their team are inspecting the windows at this property to make sure they are all operational. They've never received anything but positive feedback regarding their kitchen supplies, however, they will look into that as well to ensure it is well-stocked for all future guests. Thank you for helping us to improve and we hope to host you again soon! Best, the Evolve Team

We rented this property for my bachelor party and it worked out perfectly. Great location close to the center of town, everything was in good working order, and the views were spectacular. Mark the property manager was easy to contact and quick to respond. He came all the way from near Denver to bring us more propane for the barbecue pit. Definitely recommend staying here.

Good property BUT could be great

Great location in a great place. The house was in good condition, but with some glaring problems. First, the good. Good beds and pillows with clean linens. Spacious house with good appliances. Plenty of relaxed seating and spectacular views. The not so good... All 3 bathroom door locks were broken. There were 12 lights out around the house (I found some spares to use and I bought some at a local Ace to use.) There was no smoke alarm on the main level. At least 2 of the casement windows would not open because the handles were missing or stripped. And the window coverings were extremely insufficient or non existent. Seriously, a wide open uncovered window looking right into the master shower! There were a few socks and a shoe, that belonged to someone else, under a bed. There were no instructions on how to work the tv/satellite/gaming setups or the fireplaces (we figured it out, but a few short notes would be nice). I called the manager on the night we arrived with some questions, and he never returned my call for the duration of our stay. The pool table is really small and so warped that it was useless to try and play on except for the little kids who didn't care. There are no outside dumpsters and no instructions on what to do with the trash. The master bath has a bidet (wierd) and the gigantic sink takes forever to drain. All in all, we had a great time, slept well, and enjoyed some much needed family time, but it could have been better. This property could really shine with just a little tlc and some small monetary investments in window treatments. And property managers...answer your phone or at least return the calls. $1300 for a few days should at least warrant a call back.

The house was very clean and we were provided with plenty of clean towels and bedsheets but outside of that everything was a letdown. The bathrooms didn't have bath soap. The internet did not work and there was no TV service. Everything in the house is super dated. Nothing was provided in the kitchen except dishes. It would be nice to have some salt or sugar provided. The water dispenser on the fridge did not work. Windows didn't open or close as well. Instructions on the house were very minimal. We were given instructions on loading the dishwasher and starting it prior to checking out but no dishwasher soap was provided. Also, the dishwasher had a horrible smell and didn't work anyways. We were also left with instructions to take the trash out but no dumpster was seen. Attempted to call the property manager but never got a callback. Great vacation in Estes Park regardless of the poor quality of the services provided by this house. Location was very convenient.
