    Our son's wedding

    Reviewed by: Sandra S. on

Everything about this place was perfect for our family of 9 to stay for our son's wedding at Chestnut Ridge. Most guests and the wedding party had to travel 30-45 minutes and they were so jealous. The house was very well stocked with everything you need and more (like the jar of peanut butter we ate.) The property was absolutely gorgeous. We loved the turkeys and listening to the creek was so soothing. It was also very handy when we had a power outage and used the water to flush commodes, because the well pump was out too. Margaret was so sweet and took care of our every need by sending bottled water and battery powered lanterns for our 12 hour power outage. Don't even think of staying anywhere else, especially if you have an event at Chestnut Ridge. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful place but pricey for the area!

The area was beautiful and the house was cozy and comfy with a Creek in the front. It was in a great location for the wedding venue our daughter got married at this weekend and Margaret (the owner) was very friendly and helpful when I contacted her. The home had everything we needed except food of course, but did have coffee and can sleep several people which allowed me to have my mother who is on oxygen there for the wedding. The price was high and we wouldn?t have been able to afford it if we had not split the price with my sister and her husband for the weekend. So if you can afford it or can have someone split the price I would encourage you to stay in this pretty home.

    Cozy Cottage

We had a lovely stay at the mountain home. We sat on the back porch many hours - early in the morning, late in the afternoon and even at night. We cooked meals and were pleased with how well the kitchen was stocked! It had everything we needed. We enjoyed being in the country and watching the cows behind the yard. There were plenty of pillows and blankets and we were comfortable with 7 people.

    Great place on beautiful property.

The House was even more spacious than it seemed to be online. There was plenty of room for us to enjoy and not be on top of each other. Margaret was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. I would love to stay here again.
