    -- THE PROPERTY --

Bedroom 1: Queen Bed | Loft: Full Bed | Living Room: Queen Futon

Start every day outside, as the sun slowly rises over Mt Cowen in the distance. These Paradise Valley views put postcards to shame - with the Gallatin Forest as your backdrop.

Enjoy visiting the horses each morning at this cabin that is next to a working ranch/farm with an electric fence and irrigation system. Afterward, head bout 1.5 miles to fly fish at the nearest access point and try your hand at catching a wide variety of trout in the Yellowstone River.

After a long day on the river, retreat to your cozy cabin for a bit of time spent off your feet. Wind down with a feel-good movie on the flat-screen Smart TV, while friends fall into an afternoon nap on the futon in the living room.

Refuel your fellow adventurers with a hearty home-cooked meal each evening. The kitchen is fully equipped with updated appliances and ample countertops to assist with making that catch-of-the-day into a delicious 5-star dinner. When you're ready to eat, bring the meal over to the 3-person dining table for good food with great company.

End the night with loved ones outside on the front porch, where the fresh air and fantastic views will leave you relaxed and ready for bed. Retire inside for peaceful slumbers on the queen bed in the bedroom, while others venture upstairs to sleep on the full bed in the lofted space.

    -- THE LOCATION --

This is a private cabin in a beautiful setting. Very close to Chico Hot Springs if that is on you list. Not so close to skiing. Bridger is about 1 hr and Big Sky is a 2 hr drive. There are many fishing access sites along the Yellowstone River close by. The Northeast entrance of Yellowstone is about a 45 min drive and is in the cute little town of Gardiner, MT. Tons of wildlife visible from cabin and surrounding areas.

Our stay here was outstanding! Beautiful location perfect for sunrises/sunsets, close to a variety of awesome local spots Like Chico Hot Springs and the Old Saloon, a quick drive to Yellowstone, and endless hiking/XC skiing! My family and I took advantage of everything that this cabin offered. We originally planned to stay at a forest service cabin nearby but was much more pleased by this cabin. Fantastic accommodations, comfortable beds, cozy atmosphere. I could not have picked a better place to bring my visiting family!

There was an infestation of dead mice in the washing machine

    Reviewed by: Elizabeth E. on

    Comment:

We found the cabin in good order aside from a foul smell - we found a dead mouse and droppings and notified the host via email. After not hearing back, we located the true source of the foul smell. There were a number of dead/rotting mice in the washing machine. We later confirmed the owner used the washing machine for all linens the day prior (ah!!). The cabin was untenable and with Christmas eve the next day and after driving all the way to MT from CA, we had to move quickly. We called the host informing her that we were leaving the property as the conditions were hazardous.

    Manager's Response:
Elizabeth, this property regularly receives glowing feedback, and we are sorry your stay fell short. The owner would like to deliver the following message:

"I am sorry you were so unhappy that you just left. We take great care and pride in our cabins, and we want our guests to have the best possible vacation. Unfortunately, you did not notify us via text or phone (as requested) that there was a problem until after you had already vacated the cabin. We can not remedy issues if we are not aware of them. We also had another cabin that was available, but were unable to offer it since you were already gone.

We do live in rural Montana and in the winter homes can get uninvited furry guests. However, to find freshly washed mice in only the washer tub with no mice or droppings anywhere else in the cabin is highly unusual, and does not constitute a hazardous situation. We check the cabins regularly for mice, frozen pipes, heat working, etc. We only checked and unlocked the cabin on the 22nd. We never wait until the day before a guest arrives to do laundry as we do get last minute reservations. The prior guest left several days earlier and we did the laundry when they left. Also, we and subsequent guests have not seen any mice or droppings.

With no notice of a problem the only thing we can, and have done now, is offer a substantial refund. Again, I am very sorry and wish there was something we could have done for you at the time."

They prioritize the guest experience, and we look forward to this cabin continuing to host satisfied guests. Best, the Evolve Team

Karen and Bobby's place was great. My wife and I just got done with a 3 night stay and we appreciated l the touches of home the house had. Feeding the horses and waking up to gorgeous sunrises over the mountains was just what the soul needed. The house was clean and had all the amenities on might need for the stay including toiletries. The home is about 15-20 from Livingston and 10 minutes from Chico. If you are looking for a base to explore Yellowstone or the Valley, it's very convenient. My wife and I would stay here again in an instant.

This cabin is in a valley which makes for a beautiful setting. The owners live on the same property but there is plenty of space & privacy from them & the other neighbors in the area. The horses on the property are peaceful to watch grazing while enjoying the view from the front porch. The cabin isn?t large but it is spacious. The washer & dryer are conveniently located in the bathroom. The bed in the master bedroom is comfy. (Only two of us so we aren?t sure about the bed in the loft). The kitchen is well equipped with an assortment of cookware and utensils. We cooked a lot because we wanted plenty of time at Yellowstone and didn?t take time to eat in Gardiner or Emmigrant. We could have used sharper knives and a little more light in the kitchen since it was dark by the time we got around to cooking dinner. No big deal if you don?t plan on cooking much. The drive to the north entrance of Yellowstone was scenic and easy. The location was perfect for us and allowed us to relax away from the crowds. We would love to stay again, especially when the snow is on.

This property is exactly like it is pictured and is around 35 minutes from Yellowstone. Everything is nice, it looks brand new! It was nice to be able to stay in a home for a few days vs a hotel. The option of making meals was nice too! The kitchen comes fully stocked with anything you might need. I didn?t plan on doing laundry on vacation but having a washer and dryer was a definite plus! I didn?t take home near as much dirty laundry as I thought I was going to have to. The linens were great. There were plenty of towels. The bathroom is nice and we never ran out of hot water. The master bedroom was nice. The bed slept like a dream, especially after long days in the park. I didn?t get to meet the owners but I did get to meet our neighbor, Blu. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here if I find myself in southern Montana again. Oh, and that Montana sky at night from this cabin is phenomenal with no big city lights to distract from it.

We had a great stay at this rental! The location is perfect between Livingston, MT and Yellowstone NP. It is on a quiet road, but close enough to the main highway so access is easy. The cabin is spacious and comfortable. Our family of 5 had plenty of room. The view off the porch is awesome! Every morning watching the sunrise, then in the evening the mountains glow with the setting sun. The cabin is clean and modern. The owners were responsive to questions and easy to contact. They have a great place and we would happily stay here again.

"We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabin interior -- knotty pine throughout, beautifully constructed--is attractive and comfortable, and furnished in Western colors and materials. The horses grazing in nearby fields add a restful pastoral quality to the grandeur of the wide valley and surrounding mountains. Paradise Valley is an incomparable setting and this property is conveniently situated in the quiet center of it. Owners nearby are very helpful if needed, but not at all intrusive. VMC"

I made the beds and did the dirty laundry that was there. The caretaker had a family emergency so I just picked up the duties since she was away. Very nice people and we tidy up before we left and I made sure I had all laundry done except what we slept on left for her to do. It was fun feeding the horses and we would come and stay there again!!! Thanks
