With its prime Shelburne location, an abundance of outdoor activities are right outside your door! On the property, you'll find a spring-fed swimming pool that's 30 feet wide and several hiking trails in the woods just steps away; you don't have to go far to grab a breath of fresh air!
Only 2 miles from the cabin is Apex Orchards, where you can pick your own apples, peaches, and pumpkins! The farm also offers tractor rides throughout the scenic property and a store selling all their delectable fruits and a variety of local products.
Just down the road is Hager's Farm Market, also featuring several artisan goods and a cafe with tasty eats made with farm fresh ingredients. Find more amazing food at many nearby restaurants, such as Trail TOC Diner and Smoky Bro's BBQ!
If you're in the mood for an outdoor adventure, there's ample opportunities to go mountain biking, river rafting, and skiing at Berkshire East or Mt. Snow. Within minutes of the home are the Deerfield, Green, and Connecticut rivers, both great areas for fishing! Other area attractions include the Bridge of Flowers, Glacial Potholes, and Shelburne Falls Village.

Quiet cabin, could use window shades
4/5 The Shelburne cabin was a great home base for a getaway in the Berkshires. The cabin offered a great kitchen space, ample sleeping for a family of 5 and a wonderful field for hiking.
Although very private, my family with three teenage girls would have been more comfortable if there was a shade in the bathroom and rear sleeping area.

5/5 Very happy to find this rental, perfect place to lay your head at night. Very clean and spacious cabin with a great deal of privacy. Would definitely recommend this rental to any interested in getting away for the weekend or even longer.
Great little cabin!
5/5 Perfect little cabin in the woods. You feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town yet you're right around to corner to a lot of conveniences. Love it.

There was a bat the first night
3/5 The place is, exactly as others reviewed, not perfectly clean. The bathroom was clean, but the living room hardwood floor and loft carpet floor were dirty. Not that type of house that you want to take off your socks (maybe even shoes).
The first night we stayed, right before we are ready to go to sleep, we found a bat flying low in the living room. The celling was high (it's a loft studio), so we thought that the bat was resting near the chimney.
The "property manager" was on vacation, we called the number that was left on the table, only were told that "bats are wonderful beautiful creatures and they eat mosquitos", and he won't be able to come since it's almost midnight that we "either sleep with it, or open the doors and wait for it to fly out". Luckily the bat fly out in the next hour and when we wake up the second morning, the view in front of the house was beautiful (with the water and the trees).
Overall, the experience was fine. The house has a beautiful front porch where we spent majority of our stay. In side was fine but not as clean as a hotel room.
Also, the on call contact called the second morning to check in with us, which is nice of him.
