    Great Stay

    Reviewed by: Brian H. on

The cabin was clean and ready to go. Very nice surrounding area, filled with trees and mountain views. Beds are a little used, oven didn't heat up all the way, and absolutely no campfires allowed whatsoever. The cabin states that it sleeps 25 but the living space provides little room to maneuver about with that many. I would suggest under 15-20 is more like it. It was a quiet getaway and with a smaller size group, we would come back for sure!

A Great House for a Large Group

    Reviewed by: Matt on

We had our annual family retreat here over Labor Day weekend, with 10 adults and 10 kids. It was an ideal location to play, hike, cook, catch up, and generally relax. The owner was extremely kind, and the house was really well stocked. You can tell it's a house that is loved, and not just a vacation rental. Evolve made the booking process easy, and we wouldn't hesitate to book through them again. Thanks for everything!

    Too many problems

    Reviewed by: Deborah N. on

We traveled over 1500 miles to this destination and didn't anticipate any problems. The first night the house was extremely overheated and the children ended up sick. The previous guest had turned off a fan for the heating unit which caused us to put the kids in the basement because of natural gas fumes on the second floor. During this time a neighbor knocked in the door complaining of a fire we had started in the fire pit (all emails I had received told us thst we were able to use fire pit and wood provided). I apologized and tried to explain the situation to a very rude and hateful woman who in return mocked us and reported us the next day to the homeowners association. Overall the house would of been a perfect match with the exception of the couple problems. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't relax and enjoy our trip. After we left I received a text from the owner who said the cleaning lady would be there at 10 instead of 11 because more guest would be arriving later that day. In my opinion we should of been compensated for the day lost instead of hurried out (even though we had chose to leave). The owner was extremely kind and helpful but I can't leave a high rating because of the issues we had.

    Manager's Response:
Deborah, we are glad to hear you had positive interactions with the homeowner, but are sorry to hear the rest of your stay fell short of your expectations. We and the homeowner take feedback seriously and have shared your concerns with them. The homeowner brought in a technician to address your concerns about the carbon monoxide and natural gas levels and we can confirm that the levels were safe and maintained. We apologize for the interactions you encountered with the HOA member. Please know that guests are able to have fires at the property, however, it is required to call the number on the annual campfire permit prior to. With a high fire ban in effect, it's our top priority to ensure the safety of our travelers and community. The homeowner is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for their guests, and we are confident future travelers will enjoy their stay here! Best, The Evolve Team

Home was perfect for our group of 22. Plenty of beds and seating space. Home was fully stocked with movies, and card/board games. Home has so much character and a must see. We were under a burn ban during our stay so didn't have a chance to use outdoor fire pit but there was plenty of wood. Pat was super helpful and informative before and throughout our stay. Check in/out was smooth and easy.
