    Nice deck!

    Reviewed by: Anonymous on

We stayed in Hendersonville to visit our son. The location of this rental was close to everything. The house decor is a little outdated, but comfortable. House needed a little cleaning and some of the deck chairs should be replaced. Overall the living room was great for a family get together and the fireplace was great.

    Wonderful Stay!

The cabin is absolutely fantastic. Very cozy in the inside, spacious, and well equipped. We had a wonderful time in the cabin. Also, GREAT location close to the historic Hendersonville downtown, 30mins to Blue Ridge Parkway, and 40mins to Asheville downtown (easy highway driving).
The property manager, Amanda, was very nice as well. She checked in during the stay to make sure everything is okay. We asked for some shampoos and she brought us promptly.

    Highly recommend this place.

    Lovely retreat

I had a great week at the Hendersonville cabin. The location is perfect being so close to town, yet has the feel of a private retreat.
A nice quite neighborhood for walking my dog around.
The deck provides a nice view of the area with a view of Laurel Park through the trees.
It has everything you need, a very well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels for the bathrooms.
I did end up sleeping on the twin bed because the queen mattress was not comfortable.
Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked very well.
All in all, a very nice place to stay.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Best part was sitting out on the deck to read and chill out. Very nice quiet neighborhood in a bird sanctuary. Friendly neighbors and owner... under two miles to downtown Hendersonville. Only downside was additional 9 þe tacked on by VRBO which was not disclosed until after the reservation was made. Also, the cable service was very limited .. only basic channels.

    Manager's Response:
James, we're sorry to hear you didn't stay for the full length of your reservation. We've shared your comments with the homeowner who has ensured us the dogs in the neighborhood are in fenced yards. Additionally, the furniture, as pictured in the listing, are standard size. We are confident this home will continue to host satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team

Everyone enjoyed the cabin and the peace and quiet - and visiting. We were very comfortable in the cabin and I highly recommend it as a place to stay.

    Clean house with great location.

Reviewed by: Ken & Karen P. on

The house was clean and well equipped. Large deck was nice. Location was great. Hendersonville has a very nice main street with good shopping. Loved that the rental was dog-friendly. The owner even walked our dog while we went to Biltmore for the day. Since our main reason for being in the Asheville area was going to Biltmore, we were suprised to find so many things to do in the area. We also went to Chimney Rock and drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The owner provided brochures to help you find things to do which was helpful. There is also a visitor center nearby. The only thing that was missing was a gas grill. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental especially if you have a dog.

We really enjoyed our stay in this Hendersonville property. The decor is right out of 1975 but the cabin met all of our needs. The back deck was a joy for morning coffee and evening conversation. I would definitely stay here again. Take note of the cleaning fee, it did seem a bit high to me for a 3 night stay.

This cabin style home was exactly what we were looking for. It's not ultra modern but that's what we wanted. It has a nice open setting and great porch, quiet area. The hill to get to the house is a bit of a twist and turn, but its okay once you're used to it. Super close to downtown Hendersonville. The TV had parent controls in the twin room I was in but I wasn't in the mountains to watch TV. (Its a plus if travelling with kids!) Melinda was helpful and friendly, but we didn't need much. We stayed an extra day and EVOLVE through VRBO were great about adding on the day seamlessly.

If the ad says new it might be new on the market but it's not a new house. It's not bad, it's cute but it needs a few more user-friendly amenities like soap and a little bit of maintenance of the house wouldn't hurt.
*This review was originally posted on HomeAway for a stay in June 2018

Manager's Response: Hi Earl, You are correct that it is the industry standard to list a home as "new" if it is new to the vacation rental market, but we apologize for any confusion. The homeowners have updated the kitchen and the bathrooms in this charming old cabin, but they appreciate your feedback. Thank you for your review, and we hope to travel with you again soon! This cabin is wonderful! It was like staying in a cabin in the woods but close to downtown Hendersonville and all the other attractions. The cabin was very clean and comfortable for a family. Sitting out on the deck in the morning and evening was so peaceful. The only drawback was that the kids would have preferred more available channels on the TV. The WIFI was good.

The style of the home was country living, but there were many updates that made it very charming and comfortable. We felt safe in the peaceful neighborhood, across from the golf course and just minutes from downtown Henderson. Lots of hardwood floors and wood paneled walls...very earthy and clean. A great getaway. Nice living spaces: a family room with a fireplace and ample space for four to six adults to socialize. The cabin is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and the porch gives plenty of privacy. Only five minutes from downtown Hendersonville. When we return to that area, we'll look first to see if this property is available.
