    Amazing family vacation!

Beautiful! We visit the Smoky Mountains every fall but this year was our first with kids and grandkids! The house is layed out so everyone has an area! It rained the first couple of days but that didn't bother us a bit! The view alone with all the windows us enough in itself! We caught the fall foliage at a perfect time! We loved hanging out by the water with your own private beach, tree swing, and fire pit! Our grandson caught a bass right off the dock! The owner is very responsive and ensures your stay is enjoyable! The master bathroom is perfect with huge windows and a giant jacuzzi tub!We are thinking about returnning again in the summer! This property is perfect for anytime of year! Everything you need is there! Would highly recommend!!

We had a great stay! It was quite lovely.

Overall, the property and view is totally spectacular! The property owner was very nice and responsive during our visit! If you are looking for a beautiful and quiet place to stay with your family, then this is your place. We visited during the fall (late October 2019) and we could still fish, use the properties canoes, and sit out at the fire pit and make smores! There was only a minor issue with stink bugs in the basement area. Other than that, the views and things we could do at the house were really great!

    Perfect Family Vacation

    Reviewed by: Kimberly L. on

Our extended family of 12 stayed at this lovely lake home for a week and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more! The property was well maintained and generously stocked. We had plenty of room for three generations to spread out and find activities they loved. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, sunning on the dock, taking a rented pontoon to the waterfalls, reading on the deck, playing pool, and walking in the neighborhood. We came together every evening for a shared meal on the deck followed by family games. Ambitious family members found a wonderful yoga studio in Cashiers and two great golf courses. Others took a day trip to Highlands for shopping and a great lunch. The owner was lovely and responded quickly to a couple of hiccups that were not the fault of the property. We are grateful to Linda for sharing her home and highly recommend this rental.

The lake house was spectacular. It was a perfect setting for our families to unwind from our busy schedules. We had a few rainy days, but our accommodations provided us with lots to do in a very comfortable setting. We had pool tournaments, played games, roasted s?mores, went boating, you name it, we did it! The owners were available to answer any questions we had and were super helpful! We did not want for a single thing. We would definitely recommend this special place!

    Cracked window

    Reviewed by: Kyung Y. on

They came to mow the lawn at 6 in the morning waking everyone up including the baby. But wheb we were going home we realized that my right car window was cracked from when they mowed the lawn. When we had asked them about this they claimed that it was not theyre fault but the right side of the car was facing the grass and we were not aware until 30 minutes into our ride back

This home is wonderful! The lake views can't be beat. Both decks are the perfect spot for coffee, dinner, or just lounging. The kids loved having a yard to play and we loved having a private dock! The house was very well equipped for all of our needs. We had plenty of space and were very comfortable. We will for sure be back and can't wait!

Gratitude Retreat Center is a very special place on earth! The owners Linda and Keith put a lot of love and care into their place and you can feel it the moment you approach. The living space is amazing- we were a party of 12 and everyone had their own bed and space to move in. The outdoors however is the highlight. Beautiful Mountain View’s beyond the quiet lake. Many birds calling and stunning sunrises! The decks, fire pits and floating dock create magical places to enjoy the day and watch the stars at night. We celebrated one of our son’s graduations and hosted a gathering for our North Carolina friends (we are from Detroit). The hosts provided everything we could imagine to just relax and enjoy our time together. They even surprised our son with signs, balloons and party supplies for graduation. We look forward to crossing paths again someday. It’s a wonderful place for families to gather and would be awesome for a yoga retreat! Thank you!
