This place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I enjoyed our stay thoroughly! It's was nice to be close to town but also away from the city! Being in the mountains was absolutely beautiful and quiet. The weekend we stayed there was a light snow storm but the owners were very generous and plowed the snow and even wiped out car off for us! They made sure to update us on road conditions and made sure we had everything we needed!! Would highly recommend this place!

I only needed a one night stay (for a work trip in Colorado Springs). This was an EXCELLENT decision. The cost for one night was comparable to a hotel room, but the location, amenities and tranquility was far more than any hotel could offer! There was a hiking trail close by and I had a lovely evening hike up to a reservoir before I chilled out in my little oasis. I slept with ALL the windows open and the lack of sound pollution (from humans) was a breath of fresh air. I can't wait to stay here again!

They knew we were coming in town for my husband's birthday and even hung a birthday banner. The location is very convenient to Denver, Colorado Springs and Breckenridge. Palmer Lake is an adorable little town with a great selection of small restaurants. The Speed Trap was our absolute favorite and we went each morning for breakfast because the food just couldn't be beat. The only thing that was a bit of a frustration, but not enough to make us drop any stars off the rating, was the bed; it's a memory foam mattress and very firm. Obviously, people's sleeping needs vary so we took this in stride because everything else was so perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

We will definitely stay again should we find ourselves out that way. It was our first vacation type of rental and it definitely set a standard for what to expect from future rentals. Only 1 small complaint that really isn't the owners problem but something people should be aware of is that the road is a 1 way and you have to ignore your GPS and kinda find the back way to get into the road before the house to avoid going down the one way. We had to go down the wrong way on the 1 way the first time just to find the house according to our GPS

Enjoyed waking to the sounds of birds. Just like home. My step-dad?s a train geek and loved to hear the periodic, distant sounds of the train. Great walking/hiking opportunities. Didn?t bring my dog this time but she would have loved it. The Farr?s have a great space. You can tell they?ve poured their heart into it with lots of creative touches. One of the things that attracted me was the large open kitchen. We spent most of our visit catching up over tasty food. I?ve rented a few vrbo?s before and this had one of the most complete kitchen?s. We had everything we needed. Only complaint is that I didn?t have more time to explore the area, but that?s on me. You can bet I?ll search out the crow?s nest when I find myself headed to the front range again.

Was so glad I found this amazing place when looking for a last minute getaway with my boyfriend. It was exactly as described and had everything we needed! It had an extremely cozy atmosphere and all of the little personal touches made it even better. The town itself has amazing views and plenty of local restaurants to try. I would definitely recommend ?The Crows Nest? to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway. Truly loved it! Thank you!!

Jess and Alex are AMAZING hosts! They have a beautiful place set in picturesque Palmer Lake that we could not have been more pleased with. We were greeted with smiles, sweet pups, homemade pie, and a bottle of wine, so our expectations were exceeded from the moment we arrived. We found The Crow's Nest to be gorgeously appointed, warm, and cozily luxurious. Jess thought of everything when it came to ammenities and even included little personalized items here and there particularly for our family. I really can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was or how kind and fabulous Alex send Jess are! We are truly grateful for their hospitality and cannot wait to visit The Crow's Nest again!
