Grizzly tower was a great way to spend a long weekend. The space had plenty of room to still enjoy the rainy days, and tons of outdoor opportunities nearby for the fairer weather days. The hammocks on the second deck were a great touch. I definitely would recommend this property.

We had a wonderful 12-day stay in Packwood. This home is even more lovely in person. It was spotless and had everything we needed to make it our home away from home. We spent the majority of our stay hiking around Mount Rainier. It was really nice to come back to such a comfortable home after a long day of hiking. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend this home.

Really enjoyed our stay in Packwood! Great deck and common / kitchen area for cooking meals together. 3 comfy beds with ceiling fans / AC as needed. The space was very clean and we had a full kitchen (the pots / knives aren't quality, to be expected at Airbnb but it was doable). Very helpful to have washer / dryer which was lovely after hiking. Great space for a group weekend in the peace of the woods with plenty of space and charm! Would definitely stay again.

We came up with our children and another family and spent the weekend skiing at White Pass. The kids loved the bunk beds and TV downstairs where they could watch kiddos movies. The adults gathered upstairs and cooked big meals and enjoyed the views over coffee in the morning. Great place to recharge after a long day at the mountain. The only reason I didn?t give it a 5th star was the master suite is a loft and when the kids got up at 6am and came to the kitchen to snack we were woken up as well. But the views from the master suite are lovely, just bring ear plugs.

We had such a great time here right after the new year. We went skiing with our kids up at White Pass. It was a 20ish minute drive up to the mountain. The house was clean and spacious. The kids enjoyed the games and television down in the kid area. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains from our bed every morning. If you hit the grocery store before you get to the cabin you can cook your meals in the well stocked kitchen. We will be coming back. An addition of a jacuzzi would be nice to end a long day of skiing. Oh and the neighbors were very nice too!

The listing is accurate and the property is well maintained. The location is convenient just 3 miles east of Packwood. The upper bedroom loft gets all the noise from the main level so plan accordingly. The owner responded quickly to the few pre-trip questions we had. But we did have a problem with the living room audio system which was never resolved.

We stayed here in mid-September, in order to visit and hike around Paradise and Sunrise in Mt Rainier National Park. Both of these are about an hour away, which is about as close as one can be without staying in the park itself. The main street in Packwood, providing access to groceries, takeaway meals and gas, is a few minutes' drive away. The place is an amazing place to stay: it's well-located and incredibly well-appointed (we had a group of five, but it could easily accommodate between 6-9, depending on who's comfortable sleeping in the same beds!). The showstopper is the main living area, with huge windows that let in a huge amount of natural light and provide a wonderfully relaxing view. While it was a little cold for us to use the outside decks (there is an upper-level wrap-around deck and a lower deck), these would have been lovely in warmer weather, too. The heating was ample and effective. We'd have no hesitation recommending the property to others keen to access the national park!

Wonderful home in the trees with floor to ceiling window views of forest and mountains to the northwest. House was clean and well-maintained. Communication with owner was timely and helpful. Plenty of parking area for 4 cars. Great location for exploring Mt. Rainier National Park, which brought us to this place. It was a 13 minute drive to the southeast entrance, a one-hour drive to Sunrise Visitor Center, and a 50 minute drive to the Paradise area. We gave it 4 stars rather than 5, since the layout was a bit cramped for 4 couples. One bedroom had a queen bunk bed, which was a little cramped for 2 couples, so we used a blow-up queen bed, so 2 couples shared the loft. For a smaller group or for a large family, this place would be ideal. We would recommend it to friends or relatives.

Beautiful house, comfortable, clean, and very responsive guest hosts who went the extra mile before we got there to make sure the house had portable air conditioning units to keep things cool in a heat wave. Great sound system for movies that we watched at night. Not much to do in Packwood itself but there are a couple of good restaurants and we enjoyed seeing the elk wander around. Guess it was designed for a ski vacation, not a summer mountain visit.
