  We spent several weeks in Florida and absolutely loved the Sarasota area. The house is beautiful and very comfortable.. I would recommend paying to have the pool heated...we did not because we weren't sure how much we would use it with so many beaches so close by. You need to definitely visit Salty Jims. A little dive bar but great owners and the $8.00 Bloody Mary's are the best. Tell Gemma we sent you.

• What we needed !

  Thank you for the comfortable place to stay! The house was clean, and close to stores and restaurants. I was afraid it would be hard water but this had a water softener and the water was great. The pool was warm, although we were only home at night so sometimes it was too cold outside. The neighborhood was quiet. Thank you for having the basics for us to use !

  Everything is excellent. The house is well located, it has everything you need for your comfort, well located and close to all the beaches. My family already wants to return to Sarasota and to the same house.

  The house was much nicer than what we expected, and the picture didn't do it justice. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking full meals, though we mainly warmed prepared food in the microwave, and made coffee and tea.A house in the city near downtown has its advantages over one on Longboat Key: less expensive and closer to restaurants, museums, botanical gardens--and Rts 41 and I-75. We did finally go to Maison Blanche on Longboat Key, which is superb but expensive (and worth the money), but you get better value downtown than on St. Armand's Circle.And we'll be back to Sarasota next year, maybe in this house!
