Excellent experience. Will definitely come back and stay in Lynda's place in Cornvile, AZ. Great country side experience. Got more than expected. Lynda's neighbor was also cordial enough in showing his flock of Jacob's sheep and the stray peacock. The amenities were up to date, excellent and matched the description in the website.

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful setting. Everything you need for comfort and relaxation.

I was surprised at how far off the beaten path this was but what a beautiful place! We appreciated the more than adequate cooking utensils in the kitchen, the luxurious bathroom, and access to Netflix in the evening. We enjoyed the great scenic views surrounding the vineyard while relaxing on the private patio and in the hammock and swing. It was a relaxing retreat for us. We visited Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Jerome which are all within a half hour drive from the vineyard and with great shops and places to eat. Two of my favorite places were The Tuzigoot site and the Cactus garden between Clarkdale and Jerome. The patio apartment was private and the perfect quiet getaway for a single or couple. Bring a good book or just enjoy watching the clouds. All 3 units would be an ideal rental for a family reunion or get together. I don?t think the pictures capture how nice this semi- remote property and it?s surrounding views are.

Potable Water Concerns, Inattentive Owner, Rude Loud Smoking Neighbors

    Reviewed by: Mary K. on

You won't find out there are possible drinking water concerns in this rental until owner has your $$ in hand. THEN you will receive a sketchy disclaimer that states: "DRINKING WATER: The tap water at the ranch IS NOT chlorinated OR TESTED, so just to be safe we recommend drinking bottled or filtered water....." What does this mean?? No transparency here whatsoever!! Oh, but wait.... The Vineyard(this is a questionable decscription) owner will brag about having left you one 99 cent gallon of bottled water in the fridge...... No charge to renter!! This was to last 4 days apparently. Potable water should be provided. The private patio in the picture will only be private if you are lucky enough to NOT have loud, rude, chain-smoking renters in the attached dwelling that park in your designated spot, smoke on their deck all day letting it drift your way, get drunk & wander lost through your patio area. We were subjected to neighbor's smoking & lung hacking all day/night long so we had to turn on a noisy fan to drown this out through the tissue paper adjoining walls . Such pleasant weather that it would have been nice to have windows open but the lung hacking & music/tv from renters next door was too much . We even came back one afternoon to find adult sized face & hand prints smeared on our windows. Creepy for sure & we kept all shades closed after this peeping episode. TV never did work. Contacted owner & she gave us different passwords each time! Never correct. It's almost as if the owner has never stayed at her own place or noticed the lack of detail there. We ARE seasoned VRBO owners & can overlook shoddily put together IKEA furnishings usually. It is MOST often ithe owner & their graciousness & attention to detail that really make the stay worthwhile. However, this owner was frustrating every step of the way. A very simple polite request of asking for an extra towel during our 4 day stay even received an unnecessary response of "There might be extra towels in the storage area in a box BUT USUALLY I only set out an extra towel for guests staying 7 days.....". Not interested in knowing WHY she didn't feel we needed one extra , thin, cheap white towel....I just knew we would like to have an extra one or two for our 4 day stay. This was hardly a HUGE or unusual request. Bed is a hard hot foam slab & bedding is thick heavy polyester with no options for light covering. Uncomfortable. Too many great rental options. Skip this one!

    Manager's Response:

Mary, we've worked with the homeowner to ensure your concerns are thoroughly addressed and they have requested to respond with the following comments:

"Mary, I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay. I take the comfort and happiness of my guests very seriously. I am very sorry you had the impression that the water was not potable, the water is safe and potable, but from an abundance of caution, I recommend drinking bottled water. I personally drink the water at my house and have never had a problem but I do not like the taste and since it is not a municipal system with chlorination and treatment, I usually drink bottled or filtered water if I have it. I stay at this residence at least once a week so I am very involved with the property. It is my intent that you have something to drink in the fridge if you are coming from out of town, but yes, if you want additional drinks, water, or something else you will need to supply that.

I am sorry you did not find your neighbors to be considerate. Frequently travelers end up meeting each other at the property and enjoying a glass of wine together on the deck. We do disclose that there are possibly other travelers at the ranch, and we have not had any problems prior to this one. I am considering installing a fence to increase the privacy of the Patio Apartment patio, we will give this additional consideration.

I know you wanted more towels and we typically supply 2 bath, 2 hand, and 2 washcloths for a 2-4 night stay. I am sorry we could not keep you happy on this account and will strive to have more towels available in the future.

Our furnishings are not from Ikea, but mostly from local furniture companies and all brand new as of 2017. Our beds were carefully chosen and are also brand new, Zinus 12-inch memory foam which other guests have absolutely loved.

I am very familiar with my home. I am sorry you had problems with the TV, it connects to the WIFI and occasionally you need to re-enter the password to either the WIFI or Netflix (different passwords).

I am truly sorry you did not enjoy your stay. All the best."

The owner works diligently to ensure guests have a pleasant vacation experience at their apartment, and we're confident future guests will enjoy their stay! Best, The Evolve Team

A beautiful place to stay! We had a large group and rented out all 3 places on the property. We ended up staying in most nights because we really liked the big renovated kitchen, comfortable dining areas, and stargazing patio. There were often eagles perched on the cliffs by the river! It was nice to be outside of the touristy areas of Sedona, and the drive to surrounding hikes and sites was easy. Check in/out was also extremely easy, very helpful for those arriving early or late.

We adored out stay at the vineyard. All the way from being greeted by the most gorgeous peacock to the most divine sunset with a full moon above. This property is charming and the cottage was the most comfortable. Our stay was a week long. After daily touring of Sedona, cottonwood, Jerome, flagstaff we were able to come home and sip wine on a gorgeous patio with a gorgeous hill and babbling creek. We made great friends with the other guests visiting who our now coming to Visit us in New Orleans! It was just the perfect trip ever! Thank you Linda. We can?t wait to come again when your wine is ready for some tasting! Good luck with the vineyard and congratulations on building the perfect retreat spot to those who desire to visit this great part of the country. Cecile and Chris

How soon can we come back?!

    Reviewed by: DENISE R. on

Our intention was to find a place to stay in Sedona. But when I saw pictures of the Patio Apartment, they grabbed me and wouldn?t let me go. Since it?s a studio and there were three of us, I also knew having a hammock, picnic table, and creek to go (for a little me time) definitely suited us better than being stuck in a hotel room. It really was the perfect place for us to be. After a day exploring Montezuma?s Castle, the Well, and Tuzigoot, we had a great early dinner in Cottonwood. It was heaven to come back to the Patio, rock in the hammock swing with a hard cider, and watch the colors change on the hillside. Generally, my husband gets cabin fever after being in the same place after a while, but he didn?t want to leave. Pretty sure I?m going to put a picture of the patio as my desktop background when I get home! It is my current ?Happy Place?. We wouldn?t hesitate to come back and most likely will!

Exceeded our expectations! Gorgeous setting, super roomy, newly and impeccably decorated and amply stocked efficiency - much larger then expected. Fantastic shaded or sunning deck overlooking burbling Oak Creek with birds singing. Short drive to all the awesome desert / hiking / scenery / dining / drinking fun. No traffic out here - very quiet and serene. Big smart TV with netflix etc. Comfortable bed (but would prefer a KING SIZE!) plus a sleeper sofa (but no sheets provided for it - we tall folk could use the extra sleeping space). Plenty of closet space with luggage stands. She pretty much covered it all here - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The best thing about this location is the yard. There is a shaded overhang with a hammock and picnic table and it has the prettiest view. The only downside is that the rest of the yard is shared with two other rental locations. We were fortunate enough to have people renting the other locations who didn't use the yard. The house neighboring the rental has farm animals, like sheep, chickens and a peacock. They added to the serenity of the location. The apartment itself was clean and had ample cooking items. The location is only a 15 minute drive from Sedona, which was perfect for us because we could spend time in the city but then retreat to the rental property for some peace and quiet. Lynda was easy to contact, even though we didn't need to. She stopped by to greet us during our stay, but gave us the privacy we wanted.
