July is a great month to see Mt Shasta, Castle lake, Lake Siskiyou, McCloud Falls, The rail trail and the many hikes/bike trails that are nearby to this location. We never drove further than 15-20 minutes to access these renowned wildlife areas. We stayed the week of July 4th-three families slept quite comfortably. Two Queen beds, several single beds and a bunk bed.

Secluded, dripping with nature, and room for our large group.

This was a very nice VRBO. It seems to target large groups and wear is evident. On our stay the main door to the porch was broken, the microwave was broken, the floors quite scuffed and there was no water in the downstairs bathroom. So those are the negatives and we were told, except for the floors, they are all being addressed. It?s a large home, clunky as log cabins tend to be, but it has comfortable livingroom furniture and is equipped with the basics. Nicely located at the end of a potholed dirt road in a forested area with hillside walks behind the home that lead to a cleared area with a view of Mt. Shasta. It?s comfortable and spacious with a nice second story porch and located in a quite area. We enjoyed our stay.

The McCloud house was perfect for our family getaway. The house is absolutely beautiful, decorated tastefully, and had all the amenities we needed, not to mention the breathtaking views out every window. We enjoyed the local tips provided and made the most of our stay with a walk on the trail just outside the house to enjoy the summit vista. We also took a trip to McCloud Falls and Burney Falls. Splendid! We saw two bears during our stay but none of them bothered us. A perfect stay!

10 of stayed at the McCloud House and we could not have been happier with our stay. The place is incredibly beautiful, looks just like the pictures and description, and the land around it is incredible as well. The managers of the property were so friendly and responded to our questions very quickly whenever we contacted them. Thank you!!! We'll be back for sure. Lastly, when you visit, check out the McCloud water falls. Beautiful and fun to swim in!

The house is nice, the area is quiet and beautiful. We were disappointed to find the main French doors to the deck were broken and not functional. There were also not enough trash bags. Our main complaint would be the condition of the road going in, it was a huge mud hole with deep unavoidable potholes and it would apprear that it see?s little maintenance.

This is a large cabin with lots of single beds for all the kids. The kitchen was well appointed for a VRBO. Bring your own zip locks and Tupperware. The cabin was quite warm and comfortable despite the freezing Temps outside. I would highly recommended this home to multifamily groups with kids.

Great cabin, very close to Mt. Shasta Ski Park where we had fun skiing and tubing. Sledding options are also close. The cabin turned out great for our big group with kids and everyone was entertained with all of the games.

Our family rented this lovely cabin for four nights during Thanksgiving Week. Plenty of space for four generations with three little ones. We were able to go on hikes from right outside the house, as well as visit several beautiful waterfalls close by.

Spacious, secluded beautiful home. Very well equipped, and well cared for. We are fellow VRBO owners (#1099488), so we know how much work and expense goes into creating and caring for a quality property like this. Highly recommended.
