Kick off your boots and watch the Texas sunset from this 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental cabin that sleeps 6 in Plantersville. Bring along the family to this home on the range where the horses, donkeys, llamas, and giant rabbits play! Sitting on 46.5 acres of countryside, this vacation rental cabin will be filled with relaxing Southern charm and dusty shoes.
-- THE PROPERTY --
Bedroom 1: King Bed | Bedroom 2: 2 Twin Beds, Twin-over-Twin Bunk Bed
This quaint cabin, set in the lush Texas countryside, sits on land that stretches nearly 50 acres - giving you the full 'cowboy' experience. There are many animals that roam the property, so don't be surprised if a nosey donkey or silly llama stop by to say hello!
Spend some time out of the heat and in the living room where you can relax on the couches and pick out a DVD to watch on the flat-screen TV located above the kitchenette sink. While they rest for a while, you can head to the kitchenette to prep for dinner.
Bring the famous Texas BBQ and baked beans outside to cook on the fire pit, while the kids run outside to explore their temporary kingdom. When it begins to grow dark, spend the rest of the night stargazing and appreciating time spent away from the noisy city.
When you've spotted all the constellations, head inside for some privacy in the Master room, with a quilted king-sized bed. Meanwhile the kids can pick their spot in the second bedroom with 2 twin beds and a twin-over-twin bunk bed to rest easy after another day of "hard work" on the ranch.
-- THE LOCATION --
There's plenty to do while you stay here - right on the property! Cast your line out in the private fishing dock for a relaxing day at the peaceful fishing pond. While you're there, you'll be able to spot cattle, llamas, sheep, pigs, baby wallaby, giant rabbits, chickens, and a friendly farm cat nearby on the property to keep you company!
Drive 35 minutes over to rent a boat and relax in the clear waters of Lake Conroe. Spanning 21,000 acres of land, you'll have plenty of space to boat, fish, swim, and ride the waves for a day of easy lake living.
This property is an hour and a half north-west of downtown Houston and about an hour from the Houston Airport (IAH).
If you're visiting during the fall, a trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival is a must! Just a 3-minute drive away from the property, you'll find the largest Renaissance-themed park to explore while you munch on a turkey leg and meet the fanciful characters of the fair.

Iron Horse Ranch was a great experience, the hosts were very nice and hospitable, the beds are BEYOND comfortable, the whole place was spotless, but definitely bring rain or cowboy boots, as it gets muddy outside.

We WILL be back. Loved it. Clean, comfortable, cozy. Beautiful animals to see and pet; especially Nellie the donkey. Special girl. Enjoyed the stay very much!!!

Perfect place to stay if you are attending the Texas Renaissance Festival. Debbie is an amazing hostess. She and Vic have a beautiful place and our group of five was very comfortable in Cabin 2. Highly recommend Iron Horse Guest Ranch!

Very nice cabin, extremely clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The only suggestion would be an iron and ironing board - but we did fine without it. Debbie and her husband are the greatest owners, they actually met us as we entered the area to welcome us and show us around the cabin. Extremely nice couple __? The beautiful and peaceful surroundings made my husband want to come back for a romantic weekend getaway. We will definitely be returning every year _ե?

We have spent 2 years at this cabin. It is very cute, the beds are nice and everything is clean. There are no doors (only small curtains) so you get no privacy from the people (or kids) you are staying with. There is a mini fridge and a microwave but no other way to cook or store food. Overall the cabin and location is really nice.

the hosts were so thoughtful and generous. They even let my mom, daughter, and I tag along to feed the animals. We will definitely be staying here again

We LOVED Iron Horse Guest Ranch! We rented this cabin as a place to stay close to Texas Renaissance Festival. It is about 3 minutes down the road. It was perfect for that. On top of that, we were very pleasantly surprised with a beautiful little cabin, very quite area with tons of livestock. It was so relaxing and beautiful. We will 100% rent here again.

This place is AMAZING! The convenience to Ren fest cannot be beat! This was better and more convenient than camping on site (though i missed the people watching). Waking up to ALL the animals grazing outside the back door was wonderful! The communication was wonderful and made the stay effortless! We cannot wait to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Iron Horse Guest Ranch. We picked out this property because it was close to RenFest and the price was in our range. Our toddler really enjoyed all the animals on the property - horses, a cow, a donkey, llamas, ducks, chickens, enormous rabbits, and even a wallaby! The property was quiet. We enjoyed sitting under the stars in the evening. It was close to Magnolia and we tried out a few of the local restaurants, since the cabin doesn't have a full kitchen (but it does have a microwave and a fridge for snacks). We look forward to coming back next year!
