    Fun family get away

This property was a spacious home recently remodeled and updated. It was the perfect place for our family to get away and spend time in the great outdoors. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed to be comfortable. It is centrally located and easy to reach food and restaurants. We loved our stay. Just informationally, it didn't hinder us in the least, but we brought a dvd movie to watch with the family, there was no dvd player and no cable tv, there is a large television that has antenna tv. Not a big deal for us, just be aware.

Nice place to stay in Escalante

This is a nice place to stay at in Escalante. It is just a couple blocks which is easily walkable from restaurants, the grocery store, and a nice park for kids to play in. The house has a good amount of space in it and is very clean. The only down issues where that the cable TV seemed to go out all the time but we were not watching it that often so not really a problem. Also, it seemed like the thermostat was not very accurate in that it seemed to heat the house more than what the temperature was set at but that was easy to address by just setting it to a lower temperature. The house heat system did heat the house very quickly which was nice. We also had deer in the backyard one morning which was really neat to watch! We would stay there again.

The home was lovely, comfortable, and a perfect place to stay while visiting the various national parks and national monuments of the area. It was a little farther than we had anticipated from Capitol Reef National Park, but the drive was lovely so we didn't mind. We enjoyed several of the local restaurants and got to know some of the residents of Escalante (wonderful people). A highlight was the lilac bush in bloom in the backyard. And we loved meeting Snoopy - the very friendly cat next door who greeted us every day as we returned from our adventures. I would definitely stay here again.

We were very happy when we arrived at the Cottom Cottage! The place was very clean and we loved how the kitchen was completely stocked (with even ziplock bags) and roomy for our group of 7. Also there was room to spread out and best of all the living room was very spacious and room to relax and not feel crowded! Super close to the Hole in the rock trail where we did most of our hiking. Thank you for sharing this charming cottage and it’s history of the Cottom’s...We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet place and we’ll definitely book here again!!!

Really enjoyed our stay here! This house was well stocked and very comfortable. The large living room and dining room made it easy to spread out and play games with the family. The kitchen had a really good assortment of cookware which in January in Escalante is vital because so little is open so you need to cook :-)

It was a wonderful, warm and clean home! Looks just like the pictures – everything was organized and made you feel safe. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils (even ziplock bags of different sizes!), the laundry and dryer came very much in handy after our hikes and when we went there was more than enough toiletries and cleaning supplies to go around. Perhaps they were previously left items of past guests or from the owners, but nonetheless they were appreciated. Since we had made a trip to the grocery store before arriving and came fully equipped – we also left behind some replenishments. Very central in the town of Escalante and a short drive to trails. Once again, thank you to the owners for being such fine hosts!

We had a wonderful stay in Escalante living in this spacious 3 bedroom house located in central Escalante a few blocks off the main drag in a quiet neighborhood. This older house has many updated features. New floor, new tile in the bathroom, a huge master suite with walk in shower and huge TV. Big dinning room. Large kitchen. You cannot find a better place to stay in Escalante than this house!
