We just came back from a weekend of sightseeing and hiking at Red River Gorge and stayed at the Wine Cellar Cabin. I highly recommend this place. It was clean and bright and easy to find. There are nearby restaurants and a shopping center. It was close to Natural Bridge which is one of the attractions we were interested in seeing. The beds were very comfortable and the decor and furniture was comforting. We enjoyed our whole experience
This was an awesome place to stay for our annual guy's getaway weekend. We had fun playing pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and just relaxing in this beautiful, A-frame style cabin. It was easy to find and all instructions were very clear.

The house was perfect for our needs. Has three levels, and with there being three sets of couples. We each had our own floor and plenty of room to spare. With each bedroom we all bragged about how well we slept, this hasn?t been our experience in previous trips. The mattresses are a lot of times underrated when this should be a focal point of rental properties. The mattresses in the wine cellar are A+. The wine cellar is perfectly set up for leisure, cooking, fun, privacy, and entertainment. The house just didn?t miss a beat we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would definitely rent again!!! Thanks for having us.

Our family had a great time at this cabin. Our boys (4 and 7) loved being at the cabin and spending time in the hot tub. There’s enough space inside to give everyone their own area and the open kitchen gives a great gathering space in the morning or for dinner. We spent most days going to Natural Bridges State Park so this location was a perfect distance away. As other reviews say, make sure you have a 4W or All wheel drive vehicle, this is the last cabin in Birch Hollow and there is a gravel road section that is very steep. Also, the nearest grocery store is about 20 minutes away so we found it helpful to get all of our food before arriving. And if you drink alcohol I would highly recommend bringing your own, there are dry counties in the area and most other stores selling alcohol do not have a wide selection. The staff was very responsive and texted/emailed me in the days leading up to the trip. We are definitely planning on coming back!

We had a cousin ladies weekend and this place was perfect for our trip. We were able to use the hot tub right away because it was set and warm upon arrival. The view was beautiful it was so peaceful so roomy and homey. Thank you for the beautiful home away from home

Beautiful home! Very peaceful area with gorgeous scenery from any view. Woke up each morning to see a couple of wild turkeys roaming around the yard. Hot tub was perfect. Was able to have a great camp fire. We brought our own camp chairs, glad we did because there was only the deck furniture and 4 white plastic chairs that probably wouldnt have worked too well on the slanted ground. Dont forget to bring your own charcoal and lighter for the grill. This house is located as the last house furthest up the mountain - sure glad we had a 4-wheel drive vehicle ???. There is a bit of a drive to get anywhere, we expected that so we didnt find it an issue. So much to do in the area, hiking, sight seeing and just about any type of outdoor fun you like to do. Something to think about if you dont do well with stairs - there are a lot of stairs at the house! Pool table was fun I would suggest bringing games if you want other entertainment (we arent much for watching tv.). All the light switches are labled - that was awesome! There are plenty of bowls to put food in but no lids except 1. (Glad we brought aluminum foil, would also suggest bringing zip lock bags.) Beds were amazing! Dish soap, dishwasher soap and laundry detergent was all supplied. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Everything was wonderful other than the refrigerator. It didn't get very cold, but the staff was quick to come and check on it. The house was clean and the beds were so soft! Had a nice little get away. Will definitely be back.

The cabin was exactly how it was pictured and described, and the property manager is very organized/thorough! They had thought of everything in advance and we didn?t need to bother them at all. The cabin was perfect for 3 couples since all of the beds are on different floors. Only minor complaint would be that they want the thermostat to be set on 75 in the summer months and for the lofted bed, that?s pretty steamy. Thankfully we had an unseasonably cool evening and a little bit of rain, so it wasn?t an issue. But on a normal summer weekend, it would be hot. We will definitely return to the cabin in the future and recommend it to our friends!

We had a great stay at the Wine Cellar cabin! The place was very clean when we arrived, the kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you would need to cook with, the beds were extremely comfortable; this cabin was downright cozy. The hosts were very responsive to all of our questions both leading up to the trip as well as if we needed anything during our stay. The location was fantastic. Although you were relatively close to other cabins of Birch Hollow, we weren't right on top of each other and it felt like we were in our own secluded neck of the woods. We definitely see ourselves returning here in the near future.

This place was awesome, the beds were the most comfortable ever!! Showers were luxurious too. Close location to tons of attractions. Couple downsides.. there wasn't a lot of dishes, very minimal bath towels, and no games/cards. little when it came to house 'stock' but we made do. would have been nice to have some things to keep us occupied besides the pool table in the evenings. The drive up was ok, front wheel drive car made it up no issues. just a little bumpy. would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed at the Wine Cellar for the weekend. We had planned a weekend away hiking. This house is located very close to Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge Park. We hiked three days and really enjoyed hiking in the snow one of the days. The house was very comfortable and the hot tub was great after each days hiking.

The Wine Cellar Cabin itself was very pretty and the view was excellent at the top of the hill. We have a few complaints. There were a tremendous amount of wood bees even though there are jars in place to help reduce them. Then, when we went to use the oven, it didn?t work and wasn?t able to be fixed at all. The part had to be ordered online. It was very frustrating because we brought a lot of food and prepared for a week so we would the cabin and not eat out at any point. The last thing was the hot tub. We got in the first evening we were there. The smell of chemicals was so strong that we could only be in there for about 10 minutes. We were going to book another cabin first, but it didn?t have a hot tub. So this was a selling point for us to rent this cabin. All in all, we still had a fun time, but hopefully these things can be fixed for future renters. Thank you

Manager's Response: Hi Diane, We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the cabin's beautiful views, but we are sorry that you were not able to fully enjoy your stay! Some wildlife like harmless carpenter bees will make an appearance when the seasons change in the surrounding national park, but the homeowner does their best to ensure that the local critters do not impact guests at the cabin. The owner would like to thank you for your understanding with the oven, and apologizes that they were not able to offer you a better resolution during your stay. We are sorry that the hot tub was not ready for immediate use as it was treated before your check-in, but we hope that you were able to enjoy it for the rest of your stay! Thank you for your feedback, and we look forward to hosting you again soon. Best, the Evolve Team
This was just as advertised. Very nice and clean home with beautiful views. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the Wine Cellar cabin immensely. Arrived on a Saturday, went hiking all day on a warm Sunday in the Red River Gorge area, and then received 8" of snow Sunday night in a winter storm that downed trees and knocked out the power until Wednesday afternoon. The trees were cleared before noon on Monday and the drive was plowed soon after. The cabin had water and heat using the gas fireplace. Cooked food on the charcoal grill and survived the 3 days without electronics quite well. (I should add that the owner's (Dale and Katy) were in contact with us regularly during the power outage to keep us informed and to make sure that we were OK. Dale even came up to give me a bottle of wine as an apology for our troubles. Not needed, but greatly appreciated!) Traveled around the area Tuesday & Wednesday doing part of the Craft Distillery Bourbon Trail and also visiting the Talon Winery in Lexington. Spent Thursday again hiking in a State Park close to the cabin and enjoyed the NCAA basketball tournament that evening. Overall it was one of our more interesting spring break trips. I foresee returning to this area again as the hiking was spectacular, the cabin was wonderful, and the location is perfect for us.
