We really loved this adorable little house right on the water! The covered back porch has a fan and the gentle breezes make it the perfect place to chill out. You are really close to restaurants and the beach area where you can rent jet skis and such. The town was pretty deserted on the weekdays but on the weekend it was very lively! Light sleepers be aware: the bed is very close to the road and there are dogs and roosters making noise all night long. Bring your earplugs! We would definitely come back here or recommend it to anyone coming to the south side of Puerto Rico.

We loved our stay at this house in SALINAS. Our only problem was the very loud dogs belonging to the neighbors.

Die Umgebung war sehr laut. Vor allem nachts. Am schlimmsten war das stetige Hundegebell und die nächtliche Aktivitäten von Hähnen.
The environment was very loud. Especially at night. Worst of all was the constant barking of dogs and the nocturnal activities of roosters. (Translated from German)

Barbara, we're sorry your stay wasn't what you expected. The home is located at a typical in-town, beachfront property where dogs, chickens, and roosters are free to roam. The homeowner has installed air conditioning in both rooms so you can close the windows at night and eliminate the outdoor noise. We can confirm the owner has checked the toilet and found no issues. They wish you would have reached out during your stay and a mechanic would have promptly addressed your concerns. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to this property continuing to host satisfied guests. Best, the Evolve Team
Looks great In photos. But was lacking a few things. First night was good. Second night noticed my wife started having allergy problems. We started looking around and found mold around the edges of the ceiling. Decided that we shouldn’t stay and sent in a request to possibly have some money refunded. But no answer for a few days from the rental team. They didn’t even ask why we wanted to leave. They just declined the request. I understand the cancellation policy and read it throughly. But I thought they may make an acceptation considering the mold making it unsafe. Only reason I’m giving them two stars is because the back patio was nice to sit on and make a meal on the grill.

Both Evolve and the homeowner would like to take this opportunity to respond to Justin's feedback:
Hi Justin, We were very sorry to hear that the casita fell short of your expectations. The homeowner takes great pride in providing a tropical getaway for each guest that they host, and the property is thoroughly cleaned and maintained by a professional service so that travelers can enjoy truly exceptional experiences here. We apologize that our team did not follow up on your request appropriately, and we have spoken with the team member who handled your case so that all cancelation requests can be better handled by our team moving forward. The safety of our guests is our highest priority, and we are happy to confirm that there is no mold anywhere on the property. We apologize again that our customer service missed the mark for your reservation. We are confident that the owner will continue to provide the high level of service that they are known! Thank you for helping us improve, and we would love the opportunity to host you again the next time you're in Playa Salinas. Best, the Evolve Team
Hello Justin, This is Lynn, the property owner. I am sorry to hear that you had an unacceptable experience at our favorite little seaside casita. I just left the property at the end of December and there were no problems with any aspect of the house at that time. I have adjusted my schedule to return in less than 2 weeks to personally follow up on your note, though I have been assured by our onsite team that there is no mold in the house. Is it possible that your wife had an allergic reaction to something tropical that would have been outside her normal exposures?
Regarding the lack of response to your early departure, the Evolve team is implementing new procedures for my properties whereby I am involved when guests communicate a dissatisfaction. Especially since we have two houses right there and could easily have moved you to the other house if there was a safety concern. Nancy in Puerto Rico and I are always on standby to work with guests and their immediate needs. We would have been happy to work out a solution for you had you contacted either of us directly. Warm regards, Lynn
Peaceful, walking distance to most things. Easy to find and get to. Great place to stay.
