Amazing cabin experience!
5/5 My family enjoyed staying at this cozy cabin get-away on beautiful Grindstone Lake. We were spoiled with a family cabin on a nearby lake from 1983-2020. Grindstone is a clean, clear lake with beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets. This particular cabin is located on a old resort property within the only bay of this large lake. Our family pets were allowed and enjoyed the beach entry and short distance to the water. The beds were very comfortable. If your choose to rent a boat it is super easy as they have a private boat landing for the “resort” owners. The cabin we rented had a very nice dock for personal use. Highly recommend!!!

Good location
3/5 Lake Grindstone is a beautiful lake. I kayaked and played off the dock with my Welsh Terrier. That said, the cabin doesn’t make a good first impression as the deck is dirty and in need of a blowing off. The deck would not be safe for small children as there are gaps in the spindles. Could crawl and fall 8-10 feet. Couldn’t close the screen on the deck door off the LR; but was able to get it on the track using a butter knife. Satellite TV didn’t work. Nice kitchen and living space. Host contact was readily available.

Not Bad
3/5 Bathroom shower was changed and good. No closets in any bedrooms, the dishes and silverware had to be cleaned before use, not even sugar was included, they had a coffee pod machine without pods. You could do MUCH BETTER renting a cabin in one of the resorts, with many more amenities and cheaping pricing.

Memorial Day Weekend w/ Boat
4/5 This Hayward cabin was perfect for us and exactly what we expected based on the description of the property. It's right by the lake (not on it like its your backyard - but nothing between you and the unobstructed water views and easy access to boat launch and dock). I also believe it has been recently renovated as it was very clean and nicely decorated. We have a 21' Yamaha jet boat (3,600 lbs) and launched and dock with ease. Kids had a great time making s'mores and playing at the playground when not boating and fishing. Hope everyone has as good of time as we did!
