    Beautiful secluded cabin

    Reviewed by: Lena on

We loved our stay in November. There was a little snow that was beautiful, the leaves had all fallen but the mountains and trees were amazing- absolutely great views from the deck. The cabin is lovely and I’m sure the spring and fall months would be breathtaking. You definitely need a 4WD and not a small car in the non winter months. There were no issues with the cabin for us, the owner was very helpful with our questions. We did not choose to use the wood stove as we went familiar with them but that would be a necessity for a cozy warm cabin.I saw some reviews with different issues from towels to beds and we had no problems with any of this.If you need a getaway cabin it’s certainly a great place to go, WiFi capabilities help of you have to work with internet use. The pool table downstairs is aslo a nice feature. Thanks for a beautiful get away in the mountains!

    Beautiful View

The house was as described. View from the deck was incredible. House is very secluded and quiet, beautiful surroundings including pond with fish. Roads are good, but steep and curving as to be expected in mountains. Back road down to Clifton Forge is an East Coast version of the road to Hana!

I stayed here while attending a conference at the Homestead Resort. The cabin is well appointed, with a beautiful mountain view and large lot with deck. My choc lab Maggie came with us, and had a wonderful time. Tina the Property Manager was also very helpful with local suggestions. Look forward to staying again!

Beautiful. Off the beaten path get away.

    Reviewed by: Trish B. on

The property is beautiful! It is definitely off the beaten path and we enjoyed our get away! Just a heads up the driveway is heavily washed. You don't need 4-wheel drive but I'm so glad I had it, it was a rough ride. The drive up from Clifton Forge is also startling. The highway has switchbacks it's a narrow road, no guardrails, we definitely white knuckled it up and back!

    Manager's Response:
Trish, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay overall at this Hot Springs cabin! The homeowners take excellent care of the cabin and informed us that the road has been repaired since your stay. Thank you for letting us know about your experience, and we hope to host you again soon! Best, The Evolve Team

The description doesn't do the property and cabin justice. We were so pleasantly surprised to find that not only the pictures were 100% accurate, but there were so many hidden gems that weren't listed in the description-an outdoor grill, bonfire area, the trail with a hidden surprise, guest book with dates back to 2007, and the spectacular view from the back deck/lower patio. The property is even a mile or so from one of the most breathtaking scenic overlooks in VA. The cabin is also well-maintained, and truly fully stocked-just remember to bring extra towels and paper towels! Perfect, secluded getaway spot. Will be a returning renter.

It was good but very remote.

    Reviewed by: Austin R. on

The cabin was great and so was the view! Had to give it a 4 though do to how many lady bugs and flys there were at the cabin. It was really remote too, my wife and I arrived there late that night. It was really remote to us since we have never been there and it was deeper in the woods then expected. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive to get to the cabin.

    Great cabin with excellent views

This is a really nice, well maintained cabin with great views just as the listening indicated. The upstairs loft with the king bed is wonderful and the views from there also nice through the windows. We rented on short notice and we received everything we needed for our trip within 24 hours. We visited Hot Springs to see The Omni Homestead and that is a beautiful place. I highly recommend the Country Café near Hot Springs for meals, especially breakfast as it is very reasonably priced with very nice wait staff. I would highly recommend this property if you're looking to get away and have a lot of peace and quiet.

Secluded getaway in a cozy mountian cabin

Reviewed by: A TripAdvisor Member on

We very much enjoyed our stay! I utilized the kitchen and prepared all of our meals. They had everything we needed to be comfortable and prepare all the food we brought. Our black lab enjoyed being able to run around outside, nap on the deck and then curl up by the fire in the evening. We found the cabin to be very comfortable and it fit all of our needs. It has a dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The grill is one like you see in many state parks. The road we took to get to the cabin from Clifton Forge was very scenic with lots of switchbacks I am glad it was daylight when we first arrived. I believe there are other roads that are not quite as scenic. I only wish we could have stayed longer!
