Secluded, but three minutes to the market. A kitchen stocked full with pots, pans, baking sheets, and utensils. Everything you need to make dinners. A spacious home to spread out and relax. The surrounding property is the same, beautifully planted with flowers and fruit trees and places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The views of the river from the deck and all the windows on the back of the home are breathtaking. The picture window in kitchen particularly reminded me of a wall painting. The pictures don’t do the view justice. Finally, the host is friendly and through, offering information on surrounding restaurants, activities, and sightseeing locations. This is a great place to stay while you explore the Columbia River Gorge, it’s waterfalls, and its hiking trails. We will be back.

We chose the property because of the picture on the website, of the wall of windows that look out onto the mountains and the gorge, and the cozy yet spacious apartment and it didn't disappoint. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations. All the comforts of home and a well stocked kitchen. Waking up to the magnificent views, and located in a quiet area yet not too far from the conveniences of town and restaurants and breweries. And of course our host/manager, Janet, who we can now call friend. Was so welcoming and informative and was able to answer all our questions and recommend hikes, restaurants or what was going on locally. Sitting under the arbor in the afternoons after our hikes, with the grape vines above or heads, with grapes a plenty and her pear trees was such a delight, The welcome package had a scavenger hunt that the whole family got involved in, with prizes at completion was such a treat. So thank you so much Janet, we will be back again. Chris, Kev, Jessie and Joe xo

Janet was a fantastic hostess! I've never had an experience quite like this. The house was spotless, well-furnished and plenty of beds for me and my entire family. She even had one of those BIG memory foam bean bags that convert into a full size bed. I slept on it with my girlfriend, the last night of our stay and found it extremely comfortable. We still can't get over the view of the Gorge from the balcony! I grew up coming here, so it was surreal to wake up to a breathtaking view that never gets old. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for the entire weekend. No need to bring anything from home, Janet has everything you need. If it isn't in the house, she is more than accommodating. She even had a scavenger hunt prepared for my best friend's 5 y/o, with prizes! After our reservation we had the opportunity to visit with Janet, where she took pictures of me and my family from the balcony, a memory we will never forget thanks to Janet!

This home has an incredible view. I doubt you will find one better in the area. Janet is a wonderful hostess and she takes a lot of time with you when you arrive and you feel like friends before long. During our stay we never heard neighbors or Janet in the apartment below. We truly felt like we were the only ones for miles. The two beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and bedding. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking gear so you won't have to bring anything. We never had a problem with the WiFi or TV's...not that we used those much. There was plenty of storage for our things as there is a huge walk-in closet in the main bathroom. The kitchen also had a lot of storage for our food and drinks. Everything except the ice maker worked but that didn't end up being an issue for us as there were ice cube trays. One thing we did have to get used to was the fact that there was not a garbage disposal, but from what I learned from my other family members that rented in the area too, is that garbage disposals are not common in the homes in the area. We liked that we had the option to recycle our garbage. The bottom line is this home is comfortable, relaxing and the view cannot be beat. We loved it and we know you will too!

She was even willing to allow another dog when a dog sitter fell through! She saved the day! The house is in a perfect location, a short walk to the town where there is a full grocery store, good restaurants, and the amazing Walking Man Brewery (perfect dog friendly patio and great food). There are plenty of hikes within 20mins of the house. The house is well equipped, Janet has thought of everything to make your stay stress free. The only down side (and I do mean only) there is one real bed, the other is a futon or sack bed. Our adult friends had a hard time sleeping on the beds. It would be perfect if there had been a traditional mattress in the second bedroom.

    Manager's Response
Tracy, We are truly sorry to hear about your guest's issues with the bedding in the 2nd bedroom. The Homeowner has let us know if they were made aware of this situation, they would have offered a queen-sized, double-high (18”) inflatable air bed that is stored in the master closet. We have amended the description of the 2nd bedroom on the website to reflect this additional sleeping alternative; nevertheless, we are sorry you experienced any difficulty. We strive for 100% satisfaction and want to ensure everyone’s experience is as comfortable, carefree, and memorable as possible. The homeowner encourages all their guests to let them know at any time if there is anything they can do to be of assistance. Cheers! The Evolve Team

The location was very well secluded and quite. The property was very lush with plants and trees and offered a beautiful arbor for some additional views. The house manager was fantastic! Very accommodating to any request and offered many insightful recommendations for area restaurants, activities, etc. The town of Stevenson is a great town and offers that "small town" feeling with their shops and restaurants and the people were so friendly. Enjoyed activities such as hiking, sight seeing and zip lining/ aerial tours all within a close proximity to the town. And, if you are a fan of brewery's there are several in town and across the river, offering locally brewed beverages and wonderful scenery! We had a vacation that we'll never forget..
