We Just Stayed In What Could Be Our Dream Home

    Reviewed by: Erich K. on

If this place was up for sale I'd buy it. When my wife walked in she stopped and said this is our dream retirement house or at least one like it. The management here thought of everything. We have stayed in many air bnbs and this tops them all! It is secluded, beautiful, tons of space inside and out on ten acres close to the Pacific beaches and a great fishing area. Just book it, you won't regret it.

Beautiful house, excellent location - what an awesome getaway!

    Reviewed by: Eric S. on

We wanted to have a quick getaway that was off the beaten path, but also close to the sites on the Olympic coast. When we found this home online, it almost seemed too good to be true. However, after staying there for a few days I can say it lived up to expectations and then some! The property itself is amazing - it looks just like the pictures if not better. The house is beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed. The furnishings were extremely comfortable, with enough beds to handle a large group if needed. The location, while remote, is extremely convenient to what we wanted to see. The Hoh Rain Forest is less than an hour away, and Rialto Beach and La Push are both within 10 minutes. We were also able to go further south along the coast to explore some other beaches without it feeling like a huge outing. All-in-all it was a fantastic location to get away from it all while also experiencing some relaxing natural outings. The communication from Linda and the property managers was fantastic! We received all the info in a timely manner, and it always included every detail we needed so there were never any questions that needed to be asked. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you're considering this location, don't hesitate - it's as good as advertised!

We are a group of Washington State retirees that take an annual trip for 3 days each year. This year we wanted to do the loop on the WA coast and hike the Hoh River Trail. We highly recommend the Hoh River Visitor Center and the trails that take off directly from it. We rented this home which was a great base. All of us stated that it was a home that we wanted to come back to and how great it would be to bring our families to enjoy. The home is very clean, has everything one needs in the kitchen, we enjoyed grilling on the BBQ, sitting outside in the numerous areas set aside with tables, chairs and benches. In the evening we enjoyed the fire pit and the outdoor setting. All the furniture and beds are comfortable. The owner is extremely attentive and made everything easy for us. We have rented several VRBO homes for our retreats and this one is at the top of our list!

    Our Best Rental Yet

    Reviewed by: Rand J. on

I truly wish there were a way to award 10 stars for a property and owner. This was, with no exceptions, the best VRBO experience we have had (also including a few other vacation rental services that I won't call out by name).

Communication with the owner (Linda) and her property manager that lives directly across the road was outstanding through the process. Linda even called a week before our trip to ask if we had any questions or concerns. I've never experienced this before and it was a really nice personal touch. She even went out of her way to do some extra research for us on local ice cream shops, which was so kind.

The house was lovely. Everything you imagine from looking at the pictures. Cozy but modern, Clean. Tastefully decorated. Thoughtfully equipped. There wasn't one thing we needed during the week that we didn't find in the house. Ample room for parents and three teenage kids - good for together time and alone time. Oh, and the property is lovely, too. Quiet, serene, deer in the yard daily.

Location is excellent, particularly if you are looking to spend some good time in/around Olympic National Park. 10-15 minutes from some of the best beaches in La Push (2nd and 3rd Beach) and Mora (Rialto); 40 minutes to Hoh Rainforest; 40 minutes to Lake Crescent; an hour to Hurricane Ridge. I had looked at houses in Port Angeles, but was so glad we chose Forks. Everything we wanted was nearby... and that includes a little serenity and quiet and peace. If you love the forests of the Pacific NW, you'll love it here.

(For all of you Twilight fans, be assured - no vampire, no werewolves to be found...).

We have been traveling the country with our kids in recent years, visiting national parks. This was one of the best trips yet... and our stay at The Orchard at Three Rivers was a big part of it.

Thank you to Linda for the hospitality in sharing your wonderful home and property.

The owner reached out by phone prior to the visit to answer our questions. When we arrived there was a vase of flowers along with a card with birthday wishes for our mom. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house and outdoor spaces suited our party of 8 well. We would definitely stay here again.

My children absolutely adored the swingset and secret passage into the playroom as well as the reading lounge. The best surprise were the smores and other amenities left for us as our warm welcome. My husband, two young adult daughters and their boyfriends stayed at the Orchard for three nights in late May. We have been staying at vacation rental properties, from Germany to Costa Rica, for almost 20 years. This property was my favorite, and that is saying a lot. If you are traveling to ONP with a large group to see the beaches and the rainforest, rent this property. It was immaculately clean and well stocked. It had everything we wanted, and things we didn?t even know we wanted, like giant Jenga, s?more supplies, and a boot dryer. The property was beautiful. We even decided to scratch one of the beaches off of our itinerary, so we could spend more time at this lovely cabin. We played croquet and corn hole. I brought a hammock with me, and strung it up between two trees for an afternoon nap. My husband wandered through the woods. In the evening, we had a campfire and watched deer wander through the yard. The cabin is only 10 minutes to the Second Beach trailhead, and about an hour to the Hoh rainforest. It is not far from Forks, which has a good grocery store. There?s also a gas station and convenience store very close by. If I were going to plan our trip to Washington again, I would have stayed in this cabin for an extra day or two.

We cannot say enough about this wonderful property. When we walked inside it felt like a home away from home; we immediately felt welcomed. The house itself is totally cared for - super clean, comfortably furnished, has a well-equipped kitchen and living room for hanging out and wifi. I loved how the light streamed in the morning. The new deck is just lovely. Perfect for sitting with morning coffee, and even better for a glass of wine after exploring the area for the day! The house itself is surrounded by forest and is very quiet and peaceful. There is no light pollution at night so that one night with clear skies we got up about 3AM and went outside - we felt like we could reach out and touch the stars! From a location perspective, it was perfect. It is within 5-10 minutes of the La Push area beaches so it?s easy to get there for low tide or sunset. It is forty minutes from Rainforest Paddlers and 60 minutes to the Hoh Visitor Center. The owner is terrific - responsive, helpful in any way possible. If there is something you are interested in doing like finding a local fishing guide, just ask. She introduced us to someone who could take us on a scenic cruise out of La Push Marina and it was so much fun. Of all the rentals that we have stayed in, this is BY FAR one of my favorites. Anyone that chooses this home WILL NOT be disappointed! It is most definitely a well-managed premium property. Five nights was too short. We are hoping to return.

This vacation property is worthy of 10 stars, not just five! The home and the yard are immaculate. The property is well stocked with amenities, books, videos, cooking supplies. You seriously need to spend at least 10 to 15 minutes in every room to take in all of the time and effort that was put into decorating this home. Absolutely beautiful! The yard and the deck . . . so stunning and peaceful. We had coffee and breakfast on the deck every morning. One morning we were fortunate enough to see 5 bald eagles soaring over head. We enjoyed dinner on the deck as well and playing a of game croquet on the ever so meticulously groomed lawn! We spent time on First Beach, and Rialto Beach. We headed up to Hoh Rain Forest, then dove down the coast to Ruby Beach and a few others. We saw quite a few whales at almost every beach we visited! The Rivers Edge Restaurant in La Push was recommended by the owner. We ordered our dinner and brought it back to eat it on the deck. The fish and chips is delicious! When we checked out the next morning, we returned for breakfast. Great food! We had pre-planned our trip. We first headed up to Port Angeles for 2 days then took the ferry to Victoria Island for 3 days then came back down to The Orchards at Three Rivers. The only MISTAKE we made in booking this property is not booking it for a longer period of time! If we had not already booked and paid for a vacation home further down the coast at the Long Island peninsula, we would have called to inquire if the property was available for the rest of the week. We knew anything we rented after staying here would be a dive . . and we were correct!!! I could go on and on, but trust me, you need to experience this for yourself! This was a trip with my husband, my brothers and sister-in-law. We all want to return with our kids and grandchildren in the future as there is so much to do in the immediate area in the very best of accommodations!! The accommodations of The Orchard were amazing! The bedrooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. The cabin offered an array of sleeping arrangements, which was great for our large group! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook for 10 people every meal of the day. The hiking trails on the property were great and allowed easy nature exploration on the rainy days, so we could head in if we were too cold. The cabin also offered a great fire pit, which was a wonderful ending to our days, with a phenomenal view of the Milky Way!

Great property with plenty of room.

For 4 fishermen, the property had plenty of room, yet was cozy. A little far from town, but you definitely had peace and quiet here. Great TV setup here.

Wonderful, comfortable, perfectly-located Olympic Peninsula home

Our group (two families, with 4 adults and 4 young kids) stayed here in November and we LOVED it. This home is charming and comfortable, and the layout was perfect for us -- plenty of beds/baths, and just the right amount of space for cooking, eating, and lounging together. We also enjoyed exploring the yard and woods, and watching the beautiful Varied Thrushes foraging in the grass each day. And while the property is amazing, the location was even better -- hard to think of a better home base for exploring the ONP beaches and the Hoh Rainforest. We will be back!
