• Amazing Turtles

  Four and a three quarter stars. Photos online are exactly what you get, amazing location. Beach is steps away and we watched turtles basking everyday. One day there was five turtles. We saw spinner dolphins twice from the front veranda. Multiple beaches for swimming and surfing within blocks. House was very clean and property manager was very helpful and friendly. She even left us a fresh pineapple and some apples upon our arrival. She also gave us several suggestions on local restaurants and grocery stores. 8 Adults and 5 young adults and plenty of room, lots of space and great parking for multiple cars. Our 3rd trip to Oahu and the Oahu traffic just gets worse, but getting to Costco, Walmart, Target is easy. Waikiki is a pain as usual. When not out being tourists, we spent most of our time sitting on the veranda watching local surfers, turtles, dolphins and an occasional seal. Ideal rental for a large family.

• Off the beaten track location

  The location of this villa is actually not bad in terms of having the best (and less crowded) beaches on the island and being away from all the tourists etc. On the downside though are the lack of restaurants or facilities, so definitely you will need a car. The house is very spacious and accommodated our group nicely. We had to pay extra for a cleaner , who was actually quite random with her cleaning (making us assume she isn?t a professional cleaner). We did have issues with bugs in the house, especially in the room with the bunk beds and the 2 rooms on the lower ground floor, so I would hope the owner treats the place each and every time before new guests move in, as a few of my friends were bitten quite badly. We are still unsure whether they were bed bugs which would pose a bigger issue. We no know Hawaii is not cheap and hence for the size and quality of the accommodation though, we were satisfied even despite the location. Although we did pass many homeless shelters on the way, at no point did we feel unsafe or uncomfortable. I would recommend this place for large groups on a conscious budget!

• Location, Location, Location

  Lai Ming was a great host and this was a fine place to enjoy our family. Owners may wish someday to pave a driveway and get a more comfortable couch but those are small problems when you are nestled in huge home next to the secret and amazing Turtle Beach.

  Special thanks to Adam for making this property spectacular. My party enjoyed the beautiful space as well as the remarkable views, access to beach, and stunning sunsets enjoyed from the Vernanda. I would recommend to anyone needing lots of space with privacy and good shared options for family and friends. Great for photo shoots and photo crews!

• GREAT FAMILY VACATION WITH UNNECESSARY ISSUES

  OUR FAMILY OF 13 SPENT A WONDERFUL WEEK OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY AT THIS HOUSE. THE VIEWS FROM THE EXTRA LARGE BALCONY, OF THE OCEAN, IS AWESOME. WE CELEBRATED A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY AND THE TOGETHERNESS AT THIS LOCATION WAS MEMORABLE. THE POSITIVES OUTWEIGHED THE NEGATIVES.

  THE NEGATIVES WERE - 2 OF US ARRIVED A DAY EARLY TO SCOPE AND PREPARE FOR THE REST OF FAMILY. ON INSPECTIONS WE POINTED OUT THAT THERE WERE ONLY 2 HAND, AND 2 BATH TOWELS FOR EACH BATHROOM [ONE BATHROOM HAS ONLY 1 BATH TOWEL], WE WERE TOLD IF WE USE MORE THERE WOULD BE EXTRA CHARGE, AFTER SEVERAL CALLS THIS WAS RESOLVED. PREVIOUS TENANTS GARBAGE WAS NOT REMOVED BY CITY OR HOUSE MANAGER - 3 OF 4 GARBAGE CANS OUTSIDE WERE OVERFLOWING. AFTER MANY PONE CALLS GARBAGE WAS REMOVED 2 DAYS LATER. THERE WAS 1 NON WORKING DRYER, WHICH WE DID WITHOUT. THERE WAS AN ALARM ISSUE, WHICH WAS RESOLVED AFTER 2-3 DAYS. BASICALLY THE ISSUE WAS THAT THE OWNER CONTROLS THE HOUSE MANAGER, AND IS A LANDLORDD AND DOESN'T WISH TO BE A HOST. PROBLEMS WERE SOMEWHAT DUE TO THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY AND DIFFICULT TO GET SUPPORT. HOWEVER, A TOP PREMIUM WAS PAID FOR THIS TIME DUE TO THE HOLIDAY TIME. AT A RATE OF $2900. PER DAY, IT WOULD SEEM THAT SOME PREPARATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE FOR THIS PREMIUM HOLIDAY TIME. A SHAME SUCH A LOVELY LOCATION IS NOT BETTER MAINTAINED!
