Beautiful view! Very secluded. The house is pretty spacious. We enjoyed the deck, ping pong table, and general time with family.

The home was clean and well stocked with all the necessities. The view was spectacular. Made for peaceful early morning coffee and quite drinks on the deck at night. The only things to consider that are not mentioned on description are if you have small children traveling with you, the deck rails are loose and I worried every time my 2 1/2 yr old grandson went within a foot of them. The gap at the bottom of rails was also large. If you have small children that like to push the limits and are not well behaved, you will spend your time worry about them. The host family was extremely helpful and provided a pack and play, but couple baby gates for the two levels of stairs would be helpful. Also, the yard is STEEP so there is no outside activity at the house. There is a ping pong table (needs new paddles and balls) in the garage as well. We used the home to travel to various places to hike and the drive was a little longer than I would've liked it but well worth it. Some people complained about decor and it is outdated but all the beds and furniture were comfortable. There is a grill, but is difficult to use due to style. It has a nice table and rocking chairs on the deck. There are plenty of plates, pots and pans. However, there is no dishwasher so unless you have a passion for dishes, bring paper plates. Which brings up another issue. You have to track down the garbage disposal area or get charged an extra 10$ We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

The road to the place is terrible. Ability to back out terrible. The house was clean and offered it's entertainment with ping pong and other games. The view couldn't be beaten, GORGEOUS. Would stay again.

The views are simply amazing! The size was great for our party of 10 and close to town for anything we needed. Lots of 4th of July events going on in surrounding towns and close to Mt. Mitchell state park and other places we got to explore even though it was rainy. Everything worked well, communication with host was on point , only thing is the bathrooms were a little dirty. Other than that we had a blast!

This is a wonderful vacation home. It was super calm and very relaxing. For the drive up to the house you need to follow the instructions in the itenary after a certain point. Highly recommend to plan to arrive during daylight so that you can figure out. Most of the scenic spots are within 30-40 min drive. Do try the nearby "Appalanchian Java" coffee shop for good breakfast. The only negative - you have to empty your own thrash (drive 5 to 6 mins). Overall we had a great time here.

This place was perfect for my birthday weekend with some friends! Close enough to Ashville but tucked away in a quiet mountain neighborhood. Amazing views and well set up for adults and kids as well!

Zero complaints. Gail is the owner and was extremely helpful and responsive. The property sits on a mountain and has an awesome view. It's very private and spacious. We had 5 adults and 2 kids and still had room to accommodate 3-4 more people. It rained during our stay, so we were forced indoors; however, there were games in the first floor (Super Nintendo, Foosball table, and ping pong table). Also, we brought some board games and bluetoothed our phone to their smart tv for karaoke and games. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything you needed, and again just plenty of space. The pictures are showing older furniture. They have 4x recliners, a rocking chair, and two twin beds in replace of the bunk beds posted. The driveway can handle up to 2 cars comfortably, and they have a small side yard to grill and make a fire pit. Absolutely recommend this home. It is roughly 45 minutes to Asheville and Boone. We went to the Biltmore Estates and loved it. The town of Burnsville is very small, but the people were welcoming and we ate at their local Italian restaurant. You will not be disappointed for booking this home.

The house was great and the view was simply amazing. Loved having enough room for the family and the ping pong was a huge hit.

Interior of property is as shown in advertisements. Access is reasonably easy if you are used to driving up winding mountain roads, the last one is gravel. Road is definitely not RV friendly. Other than one other home the immediate area the house is relatively isolated. We saw deer, hummingbirds, squirrel and a 6? non poisonous snake. The bedrooms are well lite. Mattresses are firm and in very good condition. Carpeting is in excellent condition. The spacious master bedroom occupies the entire third floor with an open view of the mountains and the living room on the second floor. Televisions are in good supply and good condition. Furniture is comfortable. Kitchen could use an upgrade on the stove (?Broil?) has worn off on the oven control knob; sharper knives (I bought a sharpener at Walmart). Though this is a large house easily capable of sleeping 11 it has a dining room that seats eight. There two washers and two dryers but there is no dishwasher or garbage disposal. Wine glasses are in short supply as are usable pots and pans. The two small outdoor grills are campground type charcoal. Both were full of ashes and needed cleaning. Again, a house made to sleep up to eleven could use a large gas grill closer to the house then the 150? of the charcoal things. Check out was relatively. Gail Kroom was friendly and professional. We appreciate her sending us a things-to-do in Burnsville brochure. Finally this was out fifth VRBO in as many years. Considering our ratings of the others we give this on a solid 3.5 out of 5. Improving the kitchen, and dining room, placing a large grill closer to the house and giving the house a good dusting would make it all fives.

The property was very beautiful and the views are really pretty. It is a bit difficult to get there as roads are not really marked well; especially hard to see in the dark. Definitely need to follow the directions given by the owners and not the GPS! Plenty of room; great family place. The cleaning staff does a great job. My wish would be for them to tone down the scents in the place. A little overwhelming at first, but still a nice touch. Will definitely come back..

Though the decor is a bit dated the views more than make up for it!! Great house and perfect layout! We had a great and relaxing weekend!

This house is EXACTLY as it's described on this website. It is in a gorgeous location, the views are breathtaking, just fantastic. It was very reasonably priced and well-equipped with plenty of towels, linens, kitchen ware, etc. And there is plenty of room for a large family. The wifi was also surprisingly good, as everyone streamed movies, and did whatever we needed to do without a problem. If I had to pick anything at all to warn people about, there is no dishwasher. The instructions said to load the dishwasher before check-out, but unless we missed something, there was not one. It was not a problem for us at all, but just a heads up. The owner was also very easy to contact. We didn't have a problem, so I didn't have to get in touch with her over the weekend, but we did have contact before and she responded quickly. We would definitely stay here again, I cannot even express how beautiful the views are. Pictures do not do it justice.

My family and I had the best time at this place, we went trekking through the forest, we sat out on the deck at night watching stars shoot by and everything in town was convenient enough to get to.
