We could not have asked for a lovelier place or nicer property manager. Our instructions were perfectly clear. The parking space was great, as was the location. As others before us have said, we could hear the restaurant downstairs when we went to bed but we simply turned on a white noise app and eliminated that. Friends dropped in for a few minutes and also thought it was beautiful.

THERE IS NOTHING NOT TO LOVE AT THE JEFFERSON HOUSE

    Comment:

If you want to see St. Augustine from a residents perspective, then you definitely want to stay at the Jefferson House. Just blocks away from Flagler College and only a 10 minute walk from downtown St. Augustine, the Jefferson House is situated in the perfect spot to be able to walk to wherever you'd like to go, while taking in the rich history of this fabulous city. Situated over the top of a truly unique farm to table restaurant called Preserved, and furnished with all the comforts of home, it perfectly met all of our needs. It's spacious, clean, comfortable and private, while having all the charm you would expect from a building of this age. Although the apartment was small, the use of square footage was genius creating a very spacious feel. With seven windows in our unit, each on offered a different perspective of the beautiful grounds below and tree line street and houses below. The only problem with our stay is that we couldn't stay longer - just loved everything about this place. We can't wait to come back and we already know where we will stay. Vickie and Dave

If noise and smells bother you this will not be the place to stay. It didn't bother us and just added to the charm and experience. It's a perfect location. We loved it and will be back. Loved the tour of the distillery highly recommend!

Loved The Jefferson House. Great location, very clean, roomy, and comfortable, and we definitely appreciated the reserved parking place. We could hear some noise from the restaurant downstairs and from the other apartment(s?); but it was nothing that earplugs couldn't fix. We will definitely return.

This apartment is in a great location to downtown St. Augustine. The apartment is very well maintained. It's clean, nice layout and has a very comfortable bed. Falina, was always available anytime we had a question or minor issue. The apartment is over a restaurant but it was never noisy or a problem at all. I would highly recommend the restaurant below the apartment called, Preserve. We had breakfast/brunch there twice and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this rental, I'm so glad we choose this place over a hotel room.

Picked this location because of it's proximity to the historic area of St Augustine, Preserved & The Ice Plant restaurants. Received all check in info promptly and had no problems with the suite. The place was exceptionally clean and the linens were luxury quality. The king size bed was probably the most comfortable bed we've slept on in any hotel/vrbo!! The only drawback was if you like to sleep in, you might have an issue because of the activities from the Preserved restaurant downstairs. Overall we would recommend this property and will definitely be back!!!

    Historic Home in Historic Neighborhood

    Reviewed by: Shaun M. on

    Comment:

This apartment is well maintained and has a great porch from which to relax and check out the neighborhood. It's located at the edge of Historic Lincolnville and is within easy walking distance of downtown St. Augustine and other attractions such as the St. Augustine Distillery (take the tour!). Recommend making reservations downstairs at Preserved at least one night, and order whatever they have for the special. Reserved parking makes just leaving your car for the weekend a breeze. To address the few negative comments, the restaurant can be noisy, mostly when they are moving chairs around on the restaurant's wrap around porch, primarily around open and closing. But unless you are keeping some odd hours it is not especially bothersome. The cleaning fee IS a bit steep, considering the instructions pretty much require doing much of it yourself upon checkout (check in and check out is extremely easy). Two minor things to note: no ice cube maker, so bring your own, and watch your step getting out of the shower; it's a bit of a drop.

The wife and I stayed here for our 12 yr anniversary and it felt like we had the whole house to ourselves. Property was very clean inside and out. The apartment was very spacious very nicely decorated. (Not too much clutter). The porch was a nice spot to hang out and relax after a long day walking around or going to the beach. This unit is in a great location so you can walk downtown without too much of a hike (maybe 5 to 10 min) also a short drive over the bridge to the many beaches (15 to 20 min). Property manager is great as well anytime we had a question or concern she answered back very quickly. We would definitely stay here on our next trip back.

Great little apartment within walking distance to a lot of the local museums and attractions. Situated in the top of a historic house that had been completely renovated. Had dinner at the restaurant on the main level which was superb! Was a little concerned that we might get a lot of noise from the restaurant below but it was not the case. Would recommend this rental if you are wanting to stay in St. Augustine.

We rented this place to be close to our wedding venue and allow my now wife and the bridesmaids a a place to get ready on the big day. It worked out perfect and also served as our wedding night accommodations so we didn't have to drive all the way back to Jacksonville. I would highly recommend it for a close location to down town St Augustine if you didn't want to deal with staying in a hotel as it was much more intimate than that.

The bed is excellent and the bathroom is roomy. I recommend this place a a great choice for one's vacation. I stayed there for three nights.
