    Quiet, roomy house

    Comment:

This house is out of the way, very quiet, and spacious. It was perfect for being close to the Spencer Theater, which is why we were there. There was no one around in the nearby houses, and no cars, so it was a very quiet location while we were there. We had fun watching young deer "play tag" below the house, and wild turkeys were around as well. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and the large kitchen made it easy to cook dinners and breakfasts. If you want to be near town, restaurants, and shopping, then this is not the best place for you. However, if you care more about being in a quiet spot, or near the Spencer theater, or the ski area, this is a good choice for 3 couples, or a family with 2-4 kids.

pues tomando en cuenta lo anterior yo considero que se deben quedar limpiaos los accesos para evitar un accidente y poder salir de la propiedad ya que tuvimos que contratar una grua la cual nos costo 200.00 por vehiculo

taking into account the above, I believe that the accesses must be clean to avoid an accident and to leave the property because we had to hire a crane which cost us 200.00 per vehicle (translated from Spanish)

Manager's Response: Hi Jesus Manuel, We are sorry to hear that you had some trouble with the roads after the snowstorm that hit Ruidoso the week before your stay. While the weather is of course outside of the control of the homeowner, we have updated the listing to note that 4-wheel drive or snow chains may be required in poor weather. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to travel with you again soon! Best, the Evolve Team

Very nice house. Roomy, clean, secluded location with deers, rabbits coming to the porch. Kids had an amazing time feeding the deers in the mornings. Kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cook nice meals. Our hosts warned us about 4wheel drive but we didn't listen. Definitely a must there during the winter.

While we appreciated the cleanliness of the house, we could not get the tv in the living room to work at all during our stay. I'm not sure if the owner is aware of the fact that the temperature on the hot water heater is so high, that the water comes out of the faucets scalding!!!! This is dangerous... we had our grandchildren with us and they were afraid to wash their hands!!!! Lastly, and probably the thing that bothered us the most was lack of simple spices, and exceedingly stingy amounts of salt and pepper. In fact there was no salt in the shaker at all, but we dug around and found and old set of shakers with a little salt in it; who knows for how long!!!!! There was NO sugar for our coffee either, not even some little packs..... really? We have stayed in lots of places around Alto and Ruidoso and have never found a place with so little to offer in the pantry. You have a beautiful new barbeque and no salt and pepper to put on meat???? The location was good, but we came in our pickup and had a very hard time negotiating the driveway. We will not be returning.

    Manager's Response:
Gregory, thank you for your review. We are glad you appreciated the cleanliness and great location of this home, however, we apologize that some aspects of your stay fell flat. This homeowner prioritizes the guest experience and is taking action to resolve any issues immediately. They are currently in the process of repairing both the hot water and the television, and we are confident these will not be problems for any future guests. There is a store conveniently located just a half a mile away from the home for coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, and other basics guests may need, and the homeowner will also provide some of these items for their next groups. They have never received this type of feedback in the past, and we look forward to hosting many more happy travelers in this home. Thank you for helping us to improve! Best, the Evolve Team
