We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the animals. The property was perfect for a big group to stay comfortably! The trolley will even pick up on location making it easy to get to and from the wineries! Our group had such a wonderful time and we will definitely be back!

We had a great time with our party of 14 women! We went for my sister's bachelorette and everything was perfect, we hung out by the pool, played games, and went to different wineries. Richard recommended wonderful drivers to us, was easily accessible without being over-baring, and was wonderful to work with. The house itself is perfect with plenty of space for sleeping, dining, and enjoying each other's company! Everyone who came said how much they enjoyed it!

The space was clean, the beds were comfortable, the grounds were well kept, and the owner and his family were very friendly and helpful. We even got to bottle feed a lamb! The only thing that could have made the stay any better would have been a hot tub in the pool area since it was still a little to chilly to swim. I would definitely recommend this venue and we plan on making a yearly trip! Thank you for the great location!

We came for a wine trail trip, and had 6 girls! The upstairs was like a giant slumber party room! We didn’t even use all the beds. It was clean and had plenty of the necessities! Richard was even kind enough to give us butter and eggs. The Hermann Trolley came to the cottage to pick us up, and then brought us back at the end of the day. It was fun! Our only tiny complaints would be that the 1/2 bath is definitely a lil tight and Dakota the beautiful dog outside, did a lil too much barking during the night a couple times.

The bedroom upstairs has all the beds nicely spaced with plenty of room. It made it super fun, and felt like a big sleepover! There is 1.5 bath which worked perfect for our big group! It was only about 10 minutes out of town, and the HnH transportation were very flexible and affordable to take us to and from all the wineries. I HIGHLY recommend staying on this property.

My wife Dawn and I, along with several other guests stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Richard greeted us upon arrival and was very kind and helpful. Not only were we greeted by Richard, but we were also greeted by his dog Dakota, who was extremely friendly and lovable. A couple of notes to make you aware of both the lodging and the property. First, the lodging was very accommodating. Richard provides all the toiletry items that you'd need, linens, towels, silverware and all the cooking utensils you could ask for. The barrack style sleeping arrangement is perfect for a large group of people. Privacy was never really an issue as there are 1-1/2 bathrooms on the main level. All the beds seemed comfortable with all the linens and pillows that you would need. The floors are a little bit creeky, but this is what you'd expect from a farm guesthouse. It just adds to the character of this cute and cozy guesthouse. Overall 10! The property was also very fun to explore! Richard is very open to guests moving about the property and exploring its many fun surprises. There is a farm with sheep, and chickens, trails to explore, a swimming pool and a pond with swans! Its beautiful to say the least and was so fun to explore. We didn't get to use the pool as it was closed for the season, but again, that was to be expected. It was a great surprise though, so that when we plan to visit the next time we can use those accommodations. So again, property 10! Overall experience would be a 10! Richard was very welcoming and friendly and being on his property was just a delight! Thanks again Richard for welcoming us!

We had an awesome time at the bunkhouse. It fit the 11 of us perfectly. The host was super nice and helpful, he drove us into town to get to the trolley for the wineries and picked us later. The farm was fun to walk around and see the animals. Great place!

Richard and his farm host a wonderful stay in Berger! The accommodations were exactly as described, and the tour that Richard gave to my family of the grounds was excellent! The bunkhouse is located in the town of Berger between Hermann, and New Haven. This is a perfect location for people who would like to do the winery tours, or to just relax and hear the sounds of the farm, and see unobstructed views of the stars! Each morning Richard was nice enough to give us a few farm fresh eggs for our breakfast, as well as a couple small jars of elderberry jam to try as well. Both were excellent! Richard also has elderberry wine to sample as well! Its the small gestures like this, that will keep my family coming back in the future! If you would like to enjoy farm life, or just get away from the noise of the city, please contact Richard and enjoy his farm for a few days! I am glad we did!
