Let me start by saying that we had an absolute blast staying here over NYE weekend! The cabin is very cute, and the perfect spot to walk to the ski slopes. Unfortunately, Beech Mountain had the closest slope closed, and we had to walk a little further than planned. However, under normal conditions, this location would be PERFECT! We also were able to walk across the street to Fred's for all of our gear rentals as well as anything else you might need from their store. This cabin is great for a casual getaway. If you are skiing, there's perfect spots to leave all of your gear outside and even spots to hang your coats to dry inside. This house has 4 full bedrooms plus a 5th bedroom loft area (with its own bathroom). So, we brought 5 couples- one per room. The sleeping space was just fine for the number of people. However, the kitchen space is VERY tight. We cooked 3 meals a day for 10 people, and this was quite difficult in the kitchen space. However, the basement living space with the sectional/bar area/fireplace was the perfect space to entertain this crew. My only real complaint and the reason for the 4/5 star review is based on the cleanliness. I strongly feel that the owner should look into hiring a different company to clean this house. Sheets on 2/5 beds had to be washed before sleeping in them due to stains from the previous stay. It was strange because the other 3 beds has freshly pressed sheets on them. It was very obvious that 2 of them had not been touched by the cleaning staff. Also, there was coffee from the previous stay left in the coffee pot, so this leads us to wonder how clean the rest of the dishes were. Lastly, the basement shower door is covered in mold. So, the majority of our crew ended up using the main floor shower, Other than the cleanliness, we were very pleased with our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend!
Very comfortable home with two living areas and double fire places! Close to Beech and Sugar! Very helpful person to contact for everything!

Upon arrival we quickly , realized the place wasn't the most clean or taken care of. The outside of the cabin is full of construction materials and debris.. The cabin is heated by some floor heating sistem than doesn't work in the entire cabin.. Most of our stay we were cold !! Even with the 2 fireplaces going. The kitchen needs some mejor cleaning, there was food in the fridge that I had to dispose.. The range very outdated . We left a whole day early . Couldn't stay another night.

We had two groups traveling from Atlanta and D.C. for the Fourth of July weekend. The house was right around the corner from a general store and the town. We had 10 people stay and were comfortable the entire time. The hot tub was also a nice touch. Would definitely come back in the future!

We had a wonderful time, the location was absolutely perfect. You could walk pretty much everywhere. Amazing views. Very comfortable beds, kitchen, bathroom, EVERYTHING! This was the perfect house for a family ski vacation. We had a great time in the hot tub as well. Thank you so much! The only thing I would say is that around the outside of the house, there is a bit of a mess of construction materials. Again, thank you. We had an absolutely wonderful time.
We loved our stay at this cabin. It satisfied all of our amenity requirements going above and beyond what was expected. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, or hang out together in 1 of the 2 common areas. The basement and bar area was so cozy. The convenience to the slopes was our favorite part. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way!
We really enjoyed the location of this place, walkable to the slopes, food and general store. Cozy cabin with plenty of room for everyone.
